I want to create a strike card which combines quietus and thaumaturgy for offensive combat. My first attempt:
strike: 1R damage, not preventable
strike: 2R damage, not peventable
as above, and this vampire gains 1 blood during the press step
I prefer ranged strikes with built-in maneuver. Any sugestions?
Overkill is highly underrated. You know, like in computor games and such.
The card seems balanced as it is. Won't be played very much though, if you compare it to Theft of Vitae, Flames of the Netherworld or Taste of Death.

Naah its not balanced, its too weak for a card requiring two superior discplines. Here is how I would change it. Keep the qui level same, make the mid level to be, Strike 1R unpreventable damage and steal one blood or life from the opposing minion, and make the dual superior level to be as qui/tha above, but steal an additional blood or life.
Strike for the Blood
Combat
Strike: Strength + 1 damage
Steal 1 blood. This strike cannot be dodged.
Steal 2 blood. This strike cannot be dodged.
I would have thought that would compensate for the double-discipline nature of it.

Hmmm, at least make the blood-stealing a ranged strike.
It´s still lacking the punch. I want my opponents to think "hope it´s not a strike the heart rush-deck" when I flip over Al-Ashrad as my first vamp. Maybe as my original, but the damage is aggrevated in any round after the first?
