Name: Rite of Apostasy
Cardtype: Action
+1 stealth action. Only usable if you control another ready Baali. Not usable by an infernal vampire.
Choose a discipline this vampire has, put this card on him or her and untap him or her. This vampire becomes infernal, Baali (and Independent); he or she has Daimoinon instead of the chosen discipline (at the same level). A vampire can have only one Rite of Apostasy.
Flavor text:
Art notes: A kneeling vampire opens his arms wide before a hooded figure, over the corpse of a young girl. His eyes are shining with some unnatural brightness. The scene is viewed over the shoulder of the hooded figure and takes place in some gloomy cellar.
World of Darkness reference: whitewolf.wikia.com/wiki/Baali#Apostates
How does this card address a compelling game need?: This card can either be played to change one's own vampires to Baali with daimoinon, or to cripple a vampire of some oher player (though it requires to steal that vampire first). Either way, it opens some new deck possibilities.

I have lurking, non-specific thoughts about using this in a breed deck, and would probably prefer it restricted itself to vampires of, say, 4 capacity or more.
Would also be plausibly interested to see if it makes Striga or Maleficia more attractive. More likely, it just makes the chain a step longer - but if you can basically pick some attractive vampires who become infernal, with Daimoinon and a not-a-discipline of your choice, maybe things become more interesting. Probably not, but I'd be interested to see someone try a deck or three in that direction.

It's basically a worry that if you can find something solid to do, you could get a bunch of cheap extra assistance where previously it was restricted mostly to a coterie of midbies (or higher). It wouldn't be breed in the sense of "keep churning out more and more weenies and turn them all Baali". It would probably be more "supplement an existing deck with a couple of extra Daimonon users" or "churn out lots and lots of weenies, and turn one or two Baali".
I can't think of anything that is likely to trigger a game-wrecking earthquake, but I'd prefer to err on the side of caution, myself.
Is it me, or anone else find it weak ?
Sabbat.Black Hand Shakar: Lech loathe ranged weapons. Once each action, he may burn 1 blood to become Camarilla Prince of Krakow until the end of the action.
I makes path of evil revelation get your milage.
It lets you do weenie potence swarm and concordance everyone (keep potence, replace something else)
It allows some stuff, mostly turns setites into Balli support.
Its above wallpaper, because you untap, and its not great as far as I see, but I dont see a need for it. You can make titled Baali from titled indy stuff, have Windham get citadel then become baali, its just kinda almost a problem, sort of thing you have to sweat about when making new stuff.
Its not useless, but could be broken in the future, in theory.
It does seem a little odd that Infernal vampires have cards that allow them to make opposing vampires infernal while it's difficult to make your own vampires Infernal. Maybe a vamp like Muricia (who allows your Gangrel to become Ahrimane with Spiritus) would be a good template for a Baali vamp to turn your own minions Infernal? I think a Mastercard location that can turn your minions Infernal would be better than an action card though to save card slots.

Bunch of infernal 1-2 caps with Xeper would give a pretty solid amount votes.
Also, every deck could play Unleash Hell's Fury with this.

The card requires another infernal vampire that could have played the UHF in the first place anyway. The only exception I can think of is Midget.

Right. Forgot that part when I got that thought.
edit: Actually it requires another Baali, so you could Clan Impersonate to Baali on vamp A first, then play this on vamp B.

You could come up with a 6 card auto win combo with CI, run 8 in a 60 card deck, sweep in casual 65 times then never draw the CI or a combo piece in a tournament. That cars hides if you need it.
Hell, it hides in your other cards if you "need" it for a deck.
Ive only (to date) seen CI worth playing when madness network is involved. Masika comes to mind, and Torvus i think is in a TW malk deck.
+50,000 style points to anyone who makes Ferox THE ROCK LORD clan impersonate daughters and go on concert tour at a final table.....
Still, with this card, its like a narrow, but arguably smoother, sanguine instruction.
If children of osiris were a clan, bardo would be this (but CoO are human now).
I feel like this has potential, even if I dont see strong use yet. Also, other clans should get a reverse CI imo.
