Mostly, he doesn't, because people don't play him. His lack of bleed abilities make him fairly expensive for what he is.
However, Flames of the Netherworld works, as above.
Burst of Sunlight, which sees him as a vampire so he takes the 1 agg damage(*) - but allies just burn a life for agg damage, so if you're willing to lose a life anyway, you can use that.
If you really want to go to a second ruond, you don't need a Hawg to press. You could use combat cards. But going to a second round is usually terrible, and Talaq has no good answer to S:CE anyway, so you should probably avoid doing this.
(*) Be careful if Googling for Talaq and Burst. The ruling has changed at points in the past.
