I'm looking to get into this game, and want to give it a whirl a few times before I fork over cash to get my grubby hands on the real deal.
Perhaps sometime in the coming week?
There are already a lot of players using Skype + Lackey. You can join Lackey anyway, then ask to the other players their skype id.

I have not been on Lackey lately, but if there is an audience I can whip up some time in the late evening (as of 8:30 pm CET).
See you there

Hi!, I play later CET time this week (Christmas), around midnight. Otherwise I conect once or twice a week at about 6 p.m, but then I may not have enough time for a game for 3 or 4.
Have been playing quite a bit recently. Over the last few nights there's been 10 - 12 players online from 7PM - 1AM or so GMT (mostly EU players). Text chat works fine — the text to speech functionality does a good job grabbing your attention and I'm not sure how much Skype would add to the game... may try tonight.

I will not be available for a game tonight.
Skype gives you the extra possibility of table talk. Priceless...
Enjoy all the same

Hi, I was thinking about getting into playing online. I am at +2 gmt so from the previous postts (tho half year old) I take that there are "plenty of" European players online?
I still haven't tried the program out itself, but does it take much connection speed? I was thinking about having my phones internet connected to laptop if I wanted to play from outside home.
Also, skype would be great just so you can communicate in real time with everyone.
I'm normally on Lackey every other night or so — beginning to become a slight issue with the other half. Typically there will be enough players for 1 - 2 tables in the evening (EU time).
The games take longer than in real life, however with Skype they work really well and online, are as close as your going to get to sitting at a table with a pint in your hand...
There's a Skype VTES group conversion used to organise Skype + Lackey Games — pm me your Skype usernames and I'll add you to the conversation if you're interested.
