Central Ohio Regional Qualifier 2014 Newark, OH, USA June 8th, 2014 15 players (confirmed number after erroneous initial count) Darby Keeney Deck Name : (2014) Replay Value Author : Darby Keeney Description : This deck is about as toolboxy as I get. Minion text offers on-demand bleed and Orlando almost ensures votelock, so the deck is often able make opportunistic moves. The finals saw 4 of the 5 players in potentialliy winning positions as the clock wore down. This created incentive for an unusual number of cross-table rescues, allowing me to survive Hugh's relentless Ahrimane and Ossian rushing. I got a lucky VP in the end for a win as high seed. I've already sent a followup email to the event organizers requesting the Archon files for the WON.

I dislike the prayer Legendary Vampire, as it's nearly always a discard, but other than that, I really enjoy this build-out of an Orlando deck. It's both exceedingly strong and self-protecting with Orlando in play. This Orlando variant tends to create a new minion every time a Villein flows into hand. The result is that fresh minions pop into play at seemingly odd times, which preserves the value of a mid-game Legendary. So where you see a discard, I see opportunity. In other decks like this which are more Banish-focused, I have self-Banished a tapped, nearly full minion because a Legendary flowed into hand during an active turn - it was worth that much to me. Ultimately, I believe it's too good to omit from a deck with a reasonable probability of seeing Orlando.

I have to agree, Legendary Vampire does not have to be played as a prayer card. If you plan to bring 7+ vamps mid-to-late game, you would probably have it by then and it would be stronger than any average card you would cycle through. The card is tricky to play, but great when you know what you are doing. Sabbat. If this vampire's bleed is successful, he laughs manicly and untaps.

It does pop up in twds though, so i suppose its ok. Ige seen it in lots of Tzimitze stuff. Its runnable in ANYTHING with DOM simce Govern get you minions whenever ( pool fom oust plus govern is plenty to buy a new vamp) Ventrue fould alwqys use it mid to lategame, but access to presence seems to make it less stategically needed. Related note, Ephor is good for current ventrue builds, since Hugh made everyone notice they block good (not a secret before, but he kept winnning)

However we have not been able to upload it to vekn.net via the event calendar. I believe the problem that is dooming the upload comes from an error on the Tournament Info page of the spreadsheet. In the field asking for number of rounds (including final), instead of being able to enter 4, I am presented with the same drop-down menu of selections that was available two cells above this question for the field "level". Is this entire spreadsheet corrupted, or can I find a way to get rid of those (impertinent) drop down options so that I may simply enter the number 4 in the "Number of Rounds" field? The easiest thing to do is open a brand new Archon, paste (by values) the Methuselah's informations and re-enter the score. It shouldn't take more than 5 minutes. If some seating was changed (because a player joined during the tournament for instance), be sure to update the new archon the same way. Prince of Paris, France Ratings Coordinator, Rules Director
