Roderick Phillips March has text which reads Sabbat: While Roderick is ready, your minions get an additional +1 stealth on equip actions. Cold iron vulnerability. So if he performs Magic of the Smith does he get +1 stealth ?

Magic of the Smith +1 stealth action. Search your library for an equipment card and equip this acting vampire with it (requirements and cost apply as normal). Shuffle afterward. As above, but this is a +3 stealth action. 1 blood, etc..... So, im not sure if it counts. It isxan equip action if you sucessfully equip (nra pac will untap you at EoT, etc.) But im unsure otherwise. Is jack of both sides an equip action if you suceed unblocked and produce a retainer?

You don't say "I'm playing Jack of Both Sides to get some unspecified card from my hand and... now it's unblocked, it's a puppy!"

Just to make it clear, it is an equip action per cardtext: > Name: Magic of the Smith > Cardtype: Action > Cost: 1 blood > Discipline: Thaumaturgy > +1 stealth action. > [tha] Search your library for an equipment card and equip this acting vampire with it (requirements and cost apply as normal). I assume if it got reprinted it might be even clearer e.g. with Equip after the stealth similar to vulture's buffet ?

I'm highly against card texts on the mythical database not matching last printed card [few exceptions e.g. Villein, Psyche]

No printed card uses the word "ballot". 66 cards use the word "ballot" on Secret Library (18 crypt, 48 library). As do the official CSVs available at www.vekn.net/card-lists Ditto, a whole bunch of clarificatory re-writes added in www.thelasombra.com/rules/rtr12022011.txt

Current database wording self adhesive labels? Stickers for the win?

CSV files have always been more up-to-date than printed cards to include errata, clarification, etc. (remember the {} and =(( ))= back when LSJ was in charge?) Anyway, I'm highly in favor of having a up-to-date text reference that can be checked when: 1/ in doubt (has the card been clarified?) 2/ not playing the latest print of the card (what does the latest version say?) Your system doesn't work Hugh, since players won't always play with the latest print. So they'll have to check either the CSV file (through ARDB, Elder Library, or Vampidroid) or the latest print. Guess what's more convenient? And is it convenient not to have the clarified text because it differs from the printed version? Keep in mind that I'm only talking about clarification (rewording is part of it), not errata. Writing "+1 stealth equip action" is a clarification. Players in doubt that check the online text will get that information. Prince of Paris, France Ratings Coordinator, Rules Director
