Majesty from Jyhad set. I love Toreadors. Block, untap block again. Or act, get blocked, act again. The artwork is nice and the quote from NIN makes this version supercool!

porphyrion

Taking the Skin: Minion . actually because the first times i read the card i thought it was utter unplayable crap. an example of a card that has to 'grow' on you- until you see how it might work after all- and a good concept (even if it has a bit too much text and the conditions are quite hard to meet). it's also rare to find a card for which i don't miss an effect @ superior, but that offers enough from the get-go. definitely not one of the best cards in the game, but it offers a lot of satisfaction when finally played to full effect (a second bleed @ +1 bleed & +1 stealth after burning that friggin' Carlton or so).

If i had to pick: Vamp: Gotsdam. He fits my playstyle very well. My other favs are iliana, because shes a great set of disciplines for 7, Anatole, because i love standing intercept and malks, and Roxanne, because ive been tryin to built a solid madness network wall with her for ages and aleays come up short of good...... oh, and Matthias. Hes great. But gotsdam is my favorite, period. Library: tough call. I love govern. I like deep song. I really like freak drive. But if i had to pick 1 library card that i like alot and im notorious for using, itd be 44 magnum. Cut one into some decks juat because ppl madexjokes about me doing just that. Also, i really like masochism. Alot. It just started going back into my tournament decks, because i started playing fortitude with dominate more again. Its not "free" blood, but it does help alot if you block alot and have cards that cost a blood here or there.

Zenedar

Army of Rats. I just love it and I can't really explain why. I always add one or more if I got at least 4 vampires with animalism in my crypt

Pagan

Rather nonthreatening and people commonly take quite a bit of damage before they realize their mistake. Mine is easy. Why? It kills prey.

There was typically one dude on average asking "whats the superior do?" Then someone who was typically new er than him saying "there isnt one......." Good times.....

Rumble, awesome disciplinessles rush card. For vampire card I choose Jacko, my all time favorite. ---- Banging trashcans, breaking windows We'll wake you up tonight We like the good time, we scream and shout And that's what fun's about

Boris The Blade

Immortal Grapple. Real Men don't need Govern or Kine to oust their prey.

kombainas

> Sibyl's Tongue > > [Action] Action > > [Malkavian antitribu] > > [X Blood] > > +1 stealth action. > This action costs X blood, where X is the number of Sibyl's Tongues in your ash heap. Choose a card by name. Search your library for a copy of that card, show it to all players, and move it to your hand. Discard down to your hand size and shuffle your library afterward. > Get 4 2-3 caps in a crypt, 8 Sibyl's Tongues, turn two and ask yourself, which powercard from your library do you want the most? That lone Info Highway, or Pentex? Perhaps a Secure Haven for that next vamp? B-) Sabbat. If this vampire's bleed is successful, he laughs manicly and untaps.

Ohlmann

Burning wrath. Because Immortal Grapple does not convey the same feeling of turning opponents into space probes.

Yochanan

For library: Palla Grande is insane in a Tor anti deck with Embraces. For crypt getting Midget out first turn in Malk anti is always fun.

AaronC

Flash. This card is great. It is versatile, and it costs nothing. It's great for vamps with ; it's great for vamps with . I like Celerity combat because it's fun. Ergo, I like Flash.

Ohlmann

> AaronC wrote: > I like Celerity combat because it's fun. Ergo, I like Flash. > I like Celerity combat, but flash is mostly trash. Especially at superior. Resist Earth Grasp or Pursuit are way better. The first one is significantly more versatile and have allowed me to surprise oust more than one prey. The second one provide something way better than a press : an additional strike. To play Undead Strength then Burning wrath, for example. Just to make the message to my opponent more clear.

Anatole punches with flamethrowers and or rotshreck, so the preturnatural isnt an issue for him

I'm with Aaron on this one. Flash is a great card! And Ohlmann is an inconsiderate jerk. I am hard pressed to chose between "Flash" and "Swallowed by the Night" as my favorite card. But really, I wouldn't like either of those half as much if it weren't for ".44 Magnum" or "White Phosphorus Grenade." Independent Futurist. Contrarian (titled, X votes where X is the number of votes as the acting minion.) Target Vitals is always the better combat card.

But really, I wouldn't like either of those half as much if it weren't for ".44 Magnum" or "White Phosphorus Grenade." > Sbtn is loads better than flash. I run flash sometimes, but only one. Pursuit is better. Always. If i run celerity, i probably run big celerity if i use it for combat. If i only have little, im using it for forced march and or diversion. Big celerity has pursuit for manuever or an additional, both useful in cel combat more so than a press, and psyche, which, if i want to press, psyche has, in addition to stoppimg sce. And blur normally rounds out my celerity combat paxkages. Celerity guns and pot cel have better ways to press, and would like something else more than flash. And basic cel sucks, since it cant even use the 4th cel combat card i use and like, sideslip, at its optimal fumction. Ive never drawn flash and wanted flash, ive always wanted pursuit or psuche. Same with fast hands, so i stopped running more than one of either, ever. BUT sbtn is amazing, and loads of decks can use it, and should. I use it in pot malks, cock robin decks, any malks with obf, assamites,........ lots of solid things. Great card.

Yeah but Swallowed by the Night doesn't allow you to make bad references to old movie super-heroes... Retired Baron of Sydney, Australia, 418

True, but when im in the mood for that, i run Immemse Size and quote Apache Chief from superfriends...

Juggernaut1981

Well, we still have almost everyone in the game go "Aaaaaaaaahhh" when someone plays a flash... so I dunno... I think Flash wins over Swallowed by the Night... Retired Baron of Sydney, Australia, 418

ICL

Neither Flash nor Pursuit is any good ... I have zero copies of either in the TWDA. Obviously, Mercury's Arrow is the best Celerity maneuver card. Favorite? I think I'd have to go with Telepathic Misdirection. I'm completely a counterpuncher in personality. Favorite card to have in play? The Barrens. While I still play TM all of the time but not TB, so TM is more favoriter, TB is just so charming in play, always giving hope that you can tap to Archon Investigate someone (which I've done in a tournament) or whatnot. Whether a card is "good" or "bad" is irrelevant to the question posed by the original poster. It is perfectly reasonable to like a card because it is fun, but not effective. It is also okay to like a workhorse card like Lost in Crowds or Bonding. This is an exercise. How you answer the question indicates something about your personality or how you think. When you try to invalidate someone's preference for a card by saying it's a terrible card you are telling us that you are an argumentative individual, with little respect for others' opinions and you contribute nothing worthwhile to the conversation. @ReverendRevolver: Flash and Swallowed by the Night are apples and oranges. The main reason I like both of them is that I like the Toreador and Malkavians, and I use them to frustrate my brother who plays Tremere. NO WALK OF FLAME 4 U. Independent Futurist. Contrarian (titled, X votes where X is the number of votes as the acting minion.) Target Vitals is always the better combat card.

Jussi

I see flash both defensive and offensive, where pursuit is mainly offensive. In cel guns, flash and .44 is comparable to pursuit and .44 when no other cards are involved. edit: except that flash is always more versatile than pursuit. ---- Banging trashcans, breaking windows We'll wake you up tonight We like the good time, we scream and shout And that's what fun's about

Flash is also almost the only celerity card that is any good at . As for my favourite card... Nocturn is absolutely lovely. Love them to bits. Works just as well on inferior, provides annoyance, bleed, chump blocking, and whatever else that is needed.

Reyda

My favorite cards ares actually a set of cards : Everything labelled with Flight is very good in my opinion. And they combo well together to boot Imagination is our only weapon in the war against reality -Jules de Gaultier

Brum

My favorite card is Pentex Subversion, because it allows for decks without stealth to win; it safes us from Fatima or Karsh destroying tables all the time; it puts more player interaction in the game (by using it or contesting); it saves us from Anneke or No Secrets "you can't play VtES" and it is a well balanced card.

ReverendRevolver

> Lemminkäinen wrote: > Flash is also almost the only celerity card that is any good at . > > As for my favourite card... Nocturn is absolutely lovely. Love them to bits. Shorter by the two beat cards if you eliminate forced march and diversion, on accountcof they arent just cel. But, Blockturns are way more versatile than people give them credit for. (Unmasking plus nocturn angers many decks.) I just always pack extra masters....... tension makes them expensive.

TorranceCircle

Something I have to mention. In keepers of tradition, 8-caps were printed with all in-clans at superior and one out of clan discipline at superior. Specifically, Eugene and Randall are very nice vampires. I'm not sure if other clans recieved these same type of vamps, but these would be a good addition to many of the clans in VtES. I was inspired to make decks with Eugene and Randall as the foundation. I then built around them. They are not superstar decks but the idea from the decks came from the disciplines at superior: 3 in-clan, 1 out-of-clan.

yeah, the idea behind it is great one of my favs is probably disarm (in combination with chandice/ anaesthetic touch / stutterstep / mary anne blaire or antonio and a single prevention card (that ll make 'em think when you recruit your next nephandus) / flak jacket/ or whatever easy combination to torporize and have a snack! but then I also like a lot of powerful cards that aren't obvious like hide the heart, babble, etc etc vampires is even more difficult: masika (obvious ... untap untap untap clan impersonation madness network), matthias (what can he not... steal/bleed/bounce/combat/ ... infinte, agaitas (the master of fun deck in combination with matthias/kanimana/ira winters or huitzlipochtli), chaundice (prevent 2 and 2 ... i made a unkillable wall with him, going down to 1 or 2 pool and drive people insane because they couldn't finish me - ) & lorrie (with some creativity she is aw-esome) are probably top 5

The card I've had the most fun playing with is probably Blissful Agony. It's not only because it's fun to send your predator's vampire in combat with your prey's (especially if you have a Frenzy in hand or if one of the parties is named Lorrie D. or Enkidu or Shambling Horde), it's also a versatile card that can be used to counter S:CE (blocking), or as a Combat Ends that prevents Psyche!s, or you can even play it at inferior sometimes if you happen to play around traps+armor.

Lönkka

I on the other hand have had most fun playing with Molotov Cocktails so I'd say off head that it must be my favorite card Finnish Politics!

Perfectionist. Overall best archetype for most decks (but not all obviously). Great synergy with poolgain cards such as Blood doll/Vessel/Villein and allows you to stay in tiptop shape. I find myself including this card in far too many decks.

Lönkka

Yeah, Perfectionist is so much more versatile than any of the other archetypes that it so very often is hands down the best option. It kinda makes the other archetypes redundant. Finnish Politics!

Perfectionist can go into many many decks, and make them better > Thats the problem, monster is the only archetype other than maybe cavalier(in a gimmick deck only) thats ever better than perfectionist. MAYBE bravo beats perfectionist if everyone blocks or tries to block your ruah deck, but monster is better for those anyway. Most archetypes suck, because perfectionist has the simplest trigger, is often fulfilled, and can go on anyone. Monster is a step in the right dirextion, as is dabbler, but most archetypes are strictly worse than perfectionist.
