www.vekn.net/index.php/forum/9-event-reports-and-twd/4870-twd-gamex-4-gift-of-sleep-in-los-angeles-ca-may-29th-2011 put Brutal Influence back in my mind. But I prefer the bleed stealth angle, for practical reasons. How do you intend to oust? Bleeding with stealth for a lot using Brutal Influence. Exile can be used to remove a deflecting minion before the killing move. Or Enkil Cog to avoid an Archon Investigation. How do you intend to keep from being ousted? Bloating using Villein + cheap vampires with Brutal Influence. Resist combat using Aid from bats / Sleep Unseen (since Kamiri wa Itherero is a kind of star). The Kholos to have a word to say in votes (in addition to the Oruns) What do you want your ready region to look like (ie, how many guys are you planning on getting out)? Kamiri at least with 6 Orun, with 3 blood, an extra skill. Other vampires (as many as possible) What do you want your average turn to look like? Kamiri plays BI at superior for 6 blood on a vampire, another bleeds for 7. What's your metagame like? How do your opponents play? A lot of allies decks these day. Kamiri's special can be handy. What problems have you observed with the deck in play? Not tested yet. Needs construction advices to see if everything is ok. Deck Name : Brutal Influence obfuscate Author : Ankha Description : I put the Info Highway and Dreams to get out Kamiri in two turns. I use the Lilith's Blessing to Villein and get back some blood. Nana doesn't have obfuscate, but she's cool and may get a skill card. Out of the 36 masters (!), 23 are trifle. Maybe a Golconda could get in, as well as a Coven. Kamiri only has basic potence, and i do not see potence skill card... How do you intend to use superior BI?

Ankha

Sound like an epic fail. I don't know how I missed that point. Prince of Paris, France Ratings Coordinator, Rules Director

Lucian the Perfect can do it.

Ankha

Yes, but he is an 11 cap, meaning it will require 3 turns of influence. With Dreams and Mbare, a 10-cap such as Kamiri could have get out in 2 turns. And Kamiri is so cool ... I'll give a try with Lucian. Prince of Paris, France Ratings Coordinator, Rules Director

What about Aren (7cap, obf,POT), Bupe Kuila (7cap, OBF, POT), Tatu Sawosa (8cap, POT, cel), Massassi and Nangila Were (9cap, POT, obf)? Then you have obf at least. As you plan to play with disciplinecards anyway you could add two Obfuscatemasters. Alas no Exile then (save Aren with pre). Baron of Frankfurt

My thoughts on this. Kamiri is indeed, epic fail. Good vampire....but in another deck. I have played against the Lucian version of this deck a couple of times, constructed by a brilliant, innovative player named Kelly Schultz. The deck does bleed like a mofo. Lucian does have that nice "burn blood/life to strike" text before the glaring +3 bleed print, which minions like Carton simply hate. Here's what I saw from playing against it a couple of times. Problem: Untap. You are probably stacking Orun on Lucian only. So he Exiles, but then can't easily untap to bleed. In other words, he isn't really Perfect, cause he doesn't have Fortitude. Your four viable options for that are Mylan, a Magaji playing Belonging Grants Protection and using a few Aye for Dusk Work and grafting on [for] The player in my group used Static Virtue to preload Aye, then played Dusk Work for the untaps with Mylan for backup. It worked. I don't remember if he played High Aye for stealth + hand cycling. Problem: Tapped Orun. With the untap problem solved, several Orun are tapped from the Exile and it limits Brutal output. You'll still burn an Orun every bleed cause he is "Lucian, Master of the Tactless Bleed". Oops, the deck just worked against itself two ways by not maximizing bleed, but burning resources anyway. This kinda hampers the Enkil Cog tech too. You really only want to bleed when all the Orun are available. All this means you probably don't want to Exile too much in turns you might want to bleed. Better to Brutal down for a smaller amount. Problem: Bounce Without the ability to readily remove downstream bouncers and with all your real bleed concentrated on Lucian, you can guess what happens. About half of Lucian's bleeds strike the target, the rest are accumulating VP for your prey. Thankfully, Lucian has [AUS] and can Revelations at inferior before the bleeds. This is where the untap really pays off, way more than trying to Exile anything. Problem: HUGE target. Lucian just Revelationed, untapped and bled for 12. Nice turn dude! Guess who just became the table threat? You can't Secure Haven him, the added pool cost for Orun will kill you. So he will be hanging out here with a sign on his back saying "I bleed for retarded amounts, please rush the crap out of me, RIGHT NOW!" Even the crosstable rushers are thinking "I don't want that idiot bounced over here if he misses a Revelations draw. Even if he does play Reverations before every bleed, I can't have him one-shotting people's pool. Time to waddle over there for a quick visit while I have this Grapple in my hand." That's what happened in both games I saw....he got jacked up pretty quickly, before Kelly could really set up many sacrificial blockers. Then everyone not blood cursed or named Enkido stood in line to diablerize Lucian, knowing it was worth burning in the bloodhunt if needed. As far as I know, those few games pretty much ended the Lucian Bazooka Experiment. You could run a Soul Gem module in your design (works will with Villein and Lilith's, instant capacity increase). You will frequently lose the Orun setup, but you have a chance of getting a new Lucian. SUMMARY: All in all, its pretty fragile for all the overhead invested.

Nice little trick with any non-titled orun machine, is going anarch. Orun's only burn when this Laibon does bad things .

Boris The Blade

But then you cannot play any more Orun on him either. Not sure it's worth it in this deck, maybe in another one where you spread the Orun around.

Hey, I really like this deck concept. Kamiri is an awesome star vampire, and his adv version is one of my favorite among other adv. Lilith's bleessing could be the vital engine to make this deck work. Dropping kholo cards, 2 skill cards, 5 AFB, means 9 slots, for 1 potence skill card and anthelios. I would drop also wise spider and epiphany, to go down to 80 cards. 8 villein and 4 lilith's should work to make the engine run. Anthelios to discard other copies of villein or lilithts that you don't need anymore once set up is done, in excange of orun discarded with bleeds.

It could work indeed, giving: Deck Name : Kamiri Brutal Influence Author : Ankha Description : Crypt [12 vampires] Capacity min: 7 max: 10 average: 8.66667 4x Kamiri wa Itherero (10) Akunanse (group 4) 1x Kamiri wa Itherero Adv (10) Akunanse (group 4) 2x Aren, Priest of Eshu (7) Guruhi (group 4) 1x Nangila Were (9) Guruhi (group 4) 1x Luanda Magere (8) Ishtarri (group 4) 1x Nana Buruku (8) Guruhi (group 4) 1x Tatu Sawosa (8) Osebo (group 4) 1x Bupe Kuila (7) Follower of Set (group 4) Library [80 cards] Action [16] 12x Brutal Influence 4x Exile Action Modifier [17] 2x Cloak the Gathering 4x Elder Impersonation 1x Enkil Cog 4x Freak Drive 2x Into Thin Air 2x Lost in Crowds 2x Veil the Legions Action Modifier/Combat [4] 4x Swallowed by the Night Event [1] 1x Anthelios, The Red Star Master [38] 3x Dreams of the Sphinx 2x Information Highway 5x Lilith's Blessing 1x Mbare Market, Harare 1x Monastery of Shadows 14x Orun 2x Potence 1x Presence 8x Villein 1x Wider View Reaction [4] 4x Unseen Hibernation Prince of Paris, France Ratings Coordinator, Rules Director

I tested the deck yesterday with a small adjustment (+1 PB: Tshwane). The deck soored GW 3 out of 4 players, but it was quite opportunist. Seating: Me > Shattering Crescendo > Malkavian gr1-2 prince > Osebo 419 + intercept fight The malkavian got out Gilbert Duane that bled for 3 before being toporized by a Familal Bond played by the Osebo player. A 419 was in play and began to remove my pool before Kamiri got out. The DoC deck was playing Shattering Crescendo on the malkavian vampires (including a Famous Watenda). I managed to play Villein + Lilith's Blessing in order to get that Potence skill, and the Orun went steadily on Kamiri. She ended with 8 Orun, played Enkil Cog and 1 Brutal Influence at superior in the whole game, and I ousted my prey during his turn by bleeding for 9 at stealth. At that time, the Malkavian player was already ousted and the osebo had all his vampires in torpor, so the win was easy. Notes: the deck is VERY SLOW. Getting Kamiri out then the Orun takes ages. I think some Static Virtue are essential to accelerate. The card flow is quite terrible too, due to the massive amount of Orun in the deck. It needs some way to play more and faster (SV, or Parthenon, or more Nana Buruku). Bupe Kuila saved my life by intercepting a Shattering Crescendo on Kamiri before he delivered the final blow, though I had an Unseen Hibernation in hand.
