I was looking at a topic on another question and I saw this at the end: "Can I fetch "Ankara Citadel" with the "Alastor" vote, and put it on a ready Camarilla vampire?" And the answer was "Yes". I never thought about this before and I guess I haven't seen it in a game, but a question comes to mind from this. Can specific requirements for an equipment be ignored with Alastor? Can I use Jaroslav Pascek to get Ankara Citadel with Alastor?

The vampire doesn't "equip" with the card, so he or she doesn't have to meet the requirements. The equipment is simply "put" on the vampire. "Put" and "Place" are the most powerful words in the game. They mean "ignore everything, do whatever you want with this card." Everyone should do their best to abuse these words so they are never used ever again. Wow, i cant believe i never noticed this before. Just to clarify the wording of alastor, Im the one calling the referendum, with lets say maryanne. I go through MY library for the equipment, even if im puttin it on, lets say, my grand preys vampire, right?

Alastor Type: Political Action Requires: justicar, inner circle Requires a justicar or Inner Circle member. Choose a ready Camarilla vampire. If this referendum is successful, search your library for an equipment card and place this card and the equipment on the chosen vampire. Pay half the cost (round down) of the equipment. This vampire may enter combat with any vampire controlled by another Methuselah as a +1 stealth action. This vampire cannot commit diablerie. A vampire may have only one Alastor. Argued it with my crosstable in a casual game. I wanted to give him a flamethrower and the deal was he go to town on my predator. The unmentioned by me part was i didnt want that minion eating my vamp in torpor, and he had only one other minion, tapped to a toreadot grand ball. He denied my plan thinking i couldnt make the play, but i wanted no unblockable diablery.

Or you could also give him a Femur of Toomler.

Hmm... Play Fame on your pray's weenie cam vampire. Call Alastor vote on the unlucky sod and give him Eye of Hazimel. Your pray now has to pay 1 during each of his untap phases, or burn the Eye and trigger fame. If your prey does not have cam vampire call the vote on your own vampire and get the Eye and start rushing people. Eye of Hazimel [3 Pool] Unique equipment. The minion with this equipment gets +1 bleed and +1 strength. This minion may enter combat with any minion controlled by another Methuselah as a action. If this minion is a vampire, he or she has superior Potence [POT] and superior Chimerstry [CHI] , and combat cards cost this vampire 1 less blood. While the bearer is ready, this equipment cannot be transferred, moved or stolen. If this equipment is burned, this minion takes 5 unpreventable damage. During your untap phase, burn 1 pool or burn this equipment.

Ohlmann

I suppose you can, but I am no rule lawyer. The real question being, in which situation do you want to do so ? If he has still quite a lot of pool, you risk him rushing you back or benefiting from the +1 bleed to kill its prey. If he have less than four pool, you could do this to have the same effect as an anarch revolt, but it seem extremely convoluted. I suppose it's like cross-table ousting someone with Parity shift and giving the pool to your prey : yes, sometime it's useful to remember you can do that, but it's very narrow.

Mael

I think it's more useful to give your prey a Polaris Coach. Vehicle. Haven. During your untap phase, move 1 blood from this vampire to the Polaris Coach or burn the Polaris Coach. While this vampire is acting, he or she may burn one counter from the Polaris Coach to get +1 stealth for the current action. During undirected actions and actions that are not directed at this vampire, he or she cannot block or play reaction cards. A minion may have only one haven and only one vehicle.

Reyda

mm, he can still let the polaris coach burn during his untap so... Maybe you'll have a simpler time playing Blind spot or banishment ? Imagination is our only weapon in the war against reality -Jules de Gaultier

Blooded Sand

Play it on a vamp low on blood, ie 2 or less, fame him, and then give him the talbot's chainsaw.

wesile

Sure... and it's neighbor pays the cost and the weenie rush you...

Reyda

Yea but that's part of your plan : you chose to play a Cold Aura+ Machine blitz deck. Imagination is our only weapon in the war against reality -Jules de Gaultier

Do note though that some equipment can only be -used- by members of particular clan, while you can give those to anyone with alastor, they still wouldn't be able to use them if they aren't of the right clan.
