What happened in the finals? All these decks seem to have enough blockabilities to shut down the others. Did someone manage to get a Warghoul ?

Bump.

41 players at a qualifier event = 11 players qualified + the organizer if he didn't play Did the organizer play? Who are the 6 non-finalists that qualify?

Isak did play. I took the attached screenshot after the tournament if that will help? Note that place 9 is contested and I don't know the rules for that. dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/17792584/2013-03-30%2022.04.07.jpg www.lordoftheclog.blogspot.com

The qualifier list has been updated to match. www.vekn.net/index.php/forum/10-news-and-announcements/36278 Thanks Stefan!

Once again I'm sorry for being unresponsive. Here the qulifiers, there was a tie for 10th place so both of the got to qualify, making it a total of 11 people: 1 1 19 Marko Lindroos 2 6 2 144 2 2 17 Magnus Karlström 1 8 1 156 2 3 23 Daniel Wiberg 1 5 1 126 2 4 26 Stefan Karlsson 1 6 150 2 5 32 Daniel Teige 2 6,5 1 138 6 6 13 Randal Rudstam 1 5 114 7 7 16 Andreas Stjernfelt 1 4,5 144 8 8 30 Ida Olsson Bjärmark 1 4,5 142 9 9 37 Alexander Oltner 1 4 132 9 10 38 Anders Löf 1 4 132 11 11 5 Jan Erik Söderman 1 4 114 11 12 7 Christoffer Lindholm 1 4 114 Isak Esbjörnsson Bjärmark

I wouldn't be opposed to it.

(Can't have part of a player, so all decimals round up.)

> Lönkka wrote: > > So if the fifth place is tied, all the tied players qualify even though only one of them goes to finals. > How can the fifth place be tied after the finals? If, before the final round, there are two players tied for the 5th place, the tie will have to be resolved in the usual way (e.g., a coin toss), and only one of them will be among the 5 highest-ranked players. Before the finals, a player's rank is not final, and therefore prizes such as qualification could not be awarded yet. V:EKN Website Coordinator

Tie-breaker, gotcha! Tried to look for this in the tournament rules but couldn't locate it. Probably just me... I'm not opposed to this, but is tied fifth place in Nationals REALLY that different that having the last qualifier spot tied in an ECQ? Losing due to tournament points is one thing but losing because of coin toss, well, suck a.. big time. Finnish Politics!

> Lönkka wrote: > I'm not opposed to this, but is tied fifth place in Nationals REALLY that different that having the last qualifier spot tied in an ECQ? > Both tournaments are continental qualifiers, regardless of how many qualifying slots each has available. So it is not really that different if we compare a National Championship with 50 participants to an ECQ with 20 participants. In each event only 5 players would qualify. > Lönkka wrote: > Losing due to tournament points is one thing but losing because of coin toss, well, suck a.. big time. > Agreed. A late tournament report (from a player who played it safe and qualified without a coin toss): lordoftheclog.blogspot.se/2013/04/swedish-ecq-2013-tournament-report.html www.lordoftheclog.blogspot.com
