Hi, i was wondering, how his :ignore excess over 2 damage" work? Please anybody capable answering. Does it work like Flesh of Marble or rather ignore excess hits first, then you can prevent after.
On example, lets say our remnant has 2 Flak Jackets and is hit y Shambling Horde for 4 damage.
Does he receive 2 damage or zero?

The Remnant gets +1 strength for each life it has. The Remnant may enter combat with any minion as a action. If any effect does more than 2 damage to the Remnant, ignore the excess. If the Remnant has 4 or fewer life during your untap phase, it gains 1 life from the blood bank.
So:
"ignore the excess" is a short way of saying "ignore the rest of the damage from the effect."

SH inflict to Remnant 4 damage.
If you prevent no damage using the Flak etc., it takes 4 damage that exceeds 2, so it ends taking 2 damage.
If you prevent 1 damage using the Flak etc., it takes 3 damage that exceeds 2, so it ends taking 2 damage.
If you prevent 2 damage using the Flak etc., it takes 2 damage (no excess is ignored).
