Why is this card not more popular? It costs a blood but it it lets you not tap for blocking or lets you untap, with +1 intercept. Is it the do not replace clause?
With the popularity of Eyes of Argus, i wonder why I don't see more RtW played.

Do not replace until after this action.
+1 intercept. This vampire doesn't tap for successfully blocking this action.
Only usable by a tapped vampire. This vampire untaps and attempts to block with +1 intercept, even if intercept is not yet needed.
Actually, I really don't know why. Maybe the tzim are now out of fashion ? Most people don't combine ANI and AUS to intercept because it somewhat feels redundant ?
With the advent of sense the savage way, maybe players forgot how good thus card is ?
Since I want to promote this card, it will be prominent in my next deck, I swear
Imagination is our only weapon in the war against reality -Jules de Gaultier
Because it costs blood to get a result that can be duplicated without the blood cost.
That said, I think most ani+aus deck can afford to play one or two copies.

At least he (nearly) always have some way to untap. Is 25 that high ?

Yes, it's just untap after block. I counted unconditional wakes.
On the other hand he have just 16 to go with eagle's sight.
I had the deck (or similar build, the same player) as a prey in one final round, and it's way less scary with it's main vampire in torpor.

Yeah, block decks are very powerful at controlling the table, especially in low combat meta, but they are always fighting against time(-outs) and tool-box, bruise&bleed or rush deck can often quite easily destroy it.

Goratrix is very powerful when fighting against most frequently used combat packages (FOR sticks, CC+Aids from bats, casual .44 [even with cel],Thefts, Thrown crap potence ... even regular potence or warghouls are not that scary for goratrix - ruins of ceoris and some other perma-maneuver and it's way harder). It's good vampire with great special and good discipline set. But it's a star with nearly no way to deal with pentex contest aside.

Anarch Convert and a lot of other 1- and 2-caps (especially the ones with ) disagree with this analysis.

I'd argue that even more important than his special, as awesome as it may be, is he has.

Well, the player who played the Pentex know that they won't stealth, and they won't do anything important in the combat. So they are pretty easy to block.

Well, mainly for Magic of the smith, and mainly because Ruin of Ceoris are awesome.

This is totally off topic but it's an interesting subject so I'm going to put it out there that 2-3 vanilla weenies do nothing against a correctly played Pentex on Goratrix. One Wake, Jake, Majesty etc. and one chump left on the defense will be able to protect the Pentex. The only viable solution besides contest is Wash/Sudden, a helpful ally or some otherwise enormous advantage.

I dunno. If I had a wall deck and a choice between infinite Thefts and infinite Magic of The Smiths I would always go for the Thefts.

If the guy that played the Pentex on Goratrix wants to keep all his minions untapped and not ousting his prey while I'm repeatedly taking lots and lots of actions to remove Pentex, I'm fine with that trade-off!

This is the BEST solution, not the ONLY solution.

Well, he often need only keep zero or one minion for that, depending on the amount of wake or majesty he have. And since your non-goratrix minion are likely to end in torpor after the first block, it can be fast. And if he is your predator, it's not like he have a hope to bleed you without the pentex anyway
Don't forget that your non-goratrix minion not only are easy to block, but easy to kill too.
Some star deck can have somewhat stealthy sidekick and/or that can do something in combat, the foratrix wall is not one of them. The best bet being Mirror walk, which weaken significantly against anything non-pentex.
I run 3 Read the Winds in my G2 Tzimisce deck, and they definitely help with survivability. It's a solid card, especially for a toolbox that wants to be able to move forward while still blocking low-stealth actions.

Ditto, I always had 2 or 3 copies, especially pre-Eyes of Argus decks. A rather useful card and I also have a fondness of cards that are supposed to be clan-based but are actually two discipline-based (like Minds of the Wild). I wish there were more cards like that...
I just don't really see the point in using that many regular wakes when he has Eyes of Argus, Read the Winds, AND Sense the Savage Way all which are better.
well, there IS a point.
For instance, Read the Winds and Sense the savage way cannot be used in interaction with Eagles sight, a vital table controlling card for wall decks.
Also, Read the Winds and Sense the savage way demand a block attempt, something regular wake (or superior eyes of argus) do not
You are correct but that didn't bother Gyula Erdos much.
I'd also question the importance of Eagle's Sight. In my experience, when considering auspex reactions, it is lower priority than: Telepathic Misdirection Eyes of Argus Enhanced Senses My Enemy's Enemy

yes but, those are not really blocky reactios, now, are they.
2 of those are bounce cards first, eyes of argus you will have, but more as a wake card (in my experience) then for its inferior effect, so only really intercept lending card there is Enhanced senses, right?

That's my point. They're more important than "blocky" reactions, and they all serve as intercept at inferior.
