The rules say that first strike counters tha effect of even a first strike (right?).
Does that apply when an acting minion strikes with canine horde at superior to destroy a flash grenade (which is the source of the S:CE)?
I told the players in this case that it happened before his strike was chosen so he had to choose a new stike, but was I right? I have doubts...
Rulebook clearly states "If both minions strike with first strike, then the strikes are resolved simultaneously."
Edit: Furthermore, S:CE comes BEFORE first strike.
Sabbat. If this vampire's bleed is successful, he laughs manicly and untaps.

If the bearer is a vampire and the grenade is used at close range, the bearer is also tapped and does not untap as normal on his or her next untap phase. Burn this weapon after use.

Both combattants choose their strike, then they resolve.
S:CE from the grenade resolves first. Canine Horde is never resolved.

No, you don't choose and resolve strikes with first strike before other strikes. The choose strike step requires both players to choose their strike (acting meth choses first), then the strikes resolve in order according to the rulebook.
