Dragos and Eldritch Glimmer

I couldn't find anything with a search, so I thought I would pose this question here. Eldritch Glimmer (1 Blood Cost) tha - Strike: 2R damage, and this vampire can burn X blood to get +X (ranged) damage. Not usable on the first round of combat. THA - As above, but for 4R + X ranged damage Dragos Dragos does not have to burn blood to pay the cost of combat cards he plays. --- I just want to confirm whether or not Dragos would need to pay to Burn X Blood for the additional damage. I suspect that the card cost (1 blood) would be free, but he would need to burn blood to activate the additional damage.

The cost is not X — so he would have to burn the blood. The only combat card costing X matching his disciplines is: Summon Spirit Beast But a fortitude discipline card on him with Hidden Strength is kinda funny — Pascal would the cost be 0 to prevent X+1? You only have to make him infernal for that. Make dragos go anarch, play a card to make him red list, play Infamous insurgent, play a striga master, and then you can striga for 100.000.000 strike !

A long time ago, in a french tournament we had a player who came with a Dragos / Little tailor / Korah deck. the theme was : play dementation master on dragos and play coma for free. Correct answers here. "Burn blood" is not a cost but an effect, on these cards (Eldricht Glimmer, Chiroptean Marauder, ...), so Dragos can't skip it. Dragos can play Hidden Strength for 10 without burning any blood - as long as Hidden Strength is playable (== as long as there is at least 1 damage to prevent).
