Uh... could you explain that again a bit more clearly? What you mean with cards purchased? Also adding card text of relevant cards helps a lot. If you are asking whether you can use only cards from either ashheap OR hand though, then you can remove any combination from both.

The doubt is if players can use cards that are replaced when play allies / retainer from hand to add life to Construction. Eg.: Player A play Corruption Construction and remove from game 4 ally cards from hand to add life to Construction, replace this for 4 cards and play more 2 retainers from replaced cards, than play more 1 ally replaced from this last draw. As a head judge in Brazilian Championship 2012 I search in old group and see some topics about that and based on it I say no, players can't use replaced cards to add life to Construction. Ah, no you can't do that, you don't replace any of the cards until you have finished the effect of adding the life to it.
