As mentioned in the summary or our weekly league games , Jens had a "pretty decent" start with his Infernal Anson-deck. What is the best game start you have experienced? "My strategy? Luck is my strategy, of course."

With my old Ventrue antitribu deck I've been able to play PB:Montreal and Dreams of the Sphinx on turns 1 and 2 to Influence Lazverinus out on turn 2, proceeding to Govern down to get Quentin and Gustav Mallenhous out on turns 3 and 4. Jussi Hattara Webmaster Extraordinaire Finnish Politics!

Another great start that comes to mind wasn't mine but rather I was on the receiving end in the tournament final this happened in. A friend was playing obfuscate computer hacking revolt deck before the neutering of Anarch Revolt. He started the game with Parthenon + Anarch Revolt. On the following 3 turns he played Antediluvian Awakening and 5 more Anarch Revolts. The table collapsed to him in 5 or 6 turns flat. Jussi Hattara Webmaster Extraordinaire Finnish Politics!

I´ve had a turn 2 Elimelech who proceeded in turn 3 to succesfully resolve govern the unaligned, Scouting Mission, Reunion Kamut and the Call. That felt pretty good.

I was the forth player on the table playing Tupdog + Nephandus. First turn Powerbase Montreal. Antonio d'Erlette went out Second turn Yamp Court (having an alastor deck as a predator is good ^^) Magic of the smith with Antonio for catching Heart of Nizchetus. Use Antonio's cardtext for getting a Nephandus and Montreal for getting a Tupdog and I played Unmasking

I had a pretty decent start in one of the rounds of the NC this year where I played a Nakthortheb Spell of Life deck. From fourth position, I went turn 1: Eternals of Sirius on Nakhthor, fish a vampire turn 2: Eternals of Sirius on Nakthor, fish a vampire turn 3: Villein Nakthor for 10, Giant's Blood, Play Spell of Life, untap, bleed prey for 1, play Enkil Cog I went on to complete the spell on turn 7 and trash the table with 5 Inner Circle size-mummies. The thing is, starts like this feel totally awesome, but are really not all that uncommon. People build their decks with the purpose to do exactly these things. An Alastor deck that can't Zillah out a fast Justicar and/or fails to pass the Alastor vote is useless, while it may look OMG WHAT AN AMAZING START if it actually does what it's designed to do. What pushes some opening turns into the "this is ridiculous" territory is the whole Giant's crapshoot, but that's because Giant's Blood is broken.

I have seen something somewhat classical : Turn 1 : Koko happen Turn 3 : Koko decorate his lair with Alexandra's arm. Turn 4 : Koko decorate his lair with Anson's arm Turn 5 : Koko complete his Alexandra's arm set* Turn 6 : Koko decorate his lair with Anneke's arm * she did remove the disarm, without having any Majesty in hand. Never said it was high level play

T2 influence Lucita. T3 win. I've seen, in NAC 2011, T1 Smiling Jack T2 Montreal => Carna T3 Arcane Library, Carna gets Heart of Nizchetus, bring out Selena and Almiro.

ReverendRevolver

T1 monty t2 jack, bring. out goulet t3 barranquila, govern to Henry Taylor, who comes out T4 wider view then protean skilltotaylor, abbot twice, goulet gets earth melding satyr. I replace by drawing 2 earth melds and sit pretty.

Starting with Giant's Blood and Villein in your opening hand and being able to bring out a fatty on turn 2 is usually considered a good start, happens quite frequently, too. Be careful when you fight the monsters, lest you become one. -Friedrich Nietzsche brandonsantacruz.blogspot.com/

I don't remember my best, but I do recall my worst. I play Cybele great beast bleed during 2011 French Nationals. 2nd Round, I'm first (usually happens when I play 10 caps) and have no Dreams of the Sphinx to gain transfers and pop a T3 Cybele. The trick is, my predator plays Mata Hari allies. Speed version with freak drives and learjet. So, when Cybele pop, turn 4, and have not done any action yet: - My predator is controlling 18 minions, including carlton, ponticulus, remnant of the endless storm, warghoul, ambrosius, and a talbot chainsaw. + Unmasking. He could bleed for 13 with all his minions with no cards. I'm playing a 10 cap vampire, infernal, with no bounce and no combat Defense. Okay.

Turn 1: Bring out a 3-cap Brujah Turn 2: 3-cap becomes Brujah Justicar. Bring 2x 2-caps. Turn 3: Play New Carthage. Both 2caps become Princes. Start work on Volker. Drop Blood Weakens. Turn 4: Play Carthage Remembered. Both 2caps make Third Traditions, Brujah Justicar calls Con Boon. Out comes Volker. Drop Veil of Darkness. Brujah Debate is in my hand already along with 2 2nd Trads. Pool = 19 Votes = 13 Minions = 6 Retired Baron of Sydney, Australia, 418
