Drawing out the beast and strike combat ends Dawn Operation

If I play Dawn operation, drawing out the beast at superior which does one unpreventable damage and i play strike combat ends does my opponent take 1 unpreventable damage aggravated or not?

If my opponent plays strike combat ends is this the same result?

There might have been changes that made that ruling moot/reversed it. The ruling you give ( here ) is a ruling that was made in 1998. At that time (pre-SW), Drawing Out the Beast's text was different (check this scan ), and worked as the ruling you gave reads. However, as Jussi said, the damage is now inflicted in the press step (check cardtext above), which is skipped if one of the combattants declares a Strike: Combat ends: CRR VI.C.2.a.i wrote: > > Strike: Combat Ends.
