While I don't doubt the value of the set, I suspect 99% of players won't want to spend so much in one shot

but good luck to the seller!

looks good for potence rush decks, highlights include 6 preternatural strengths, 10 fist of deaths, 8 coagulated entities, 2 Carlton van Wyks, 1 Heart of Nizchetus, 3 Heart of the City, 6 Heroic Might but for its price of 1500$ as starting bid i'd expect more. Still its a great collection for those just starting in vtes, but you're right 99% of players wont get this at that price.
Most of us junkies have spent that much on our collections, although it was over a protracted period of time

The 16 Villeins is a good selling point, while the zero Parity Shifts is not. Also, I noticed that there are a fair amount of vampires where there are only a couple copies. For a collection starting at $1,500, I would have expected them to have more in there. Were many cards given/traded away?
Anyway, I'll be interested to know if it sells at that price.

With only 1 Enkil Cog, 1 Heart of Nizchetus, no Summon History, no War Ghoul, it is largely overcosted.

I think you must have missed such cards like :
14 neutral Guards,
10 Gifts of Bellona,
14 Tupdogs etc.
It's a great set of cards for those who would like to start their adventure with Bloodlines clans.

Yep, there's a LOT of Bloodlines stuff, but overall the set isn't that great. The vampire section is lacking Alexandra, Arika, and whatnot. I wouldn't even consider paying $1500 for that lot.. Spread amongst friends, MAYBE, but it's not really great for newbies.

It's a great set of cards, but nowhere near worth spending $ 1500 on. Even a reseller would be hard-pressed to make decent profit off of that compared to the required time investment.
Izaak is actually quite right. Cost effectiveness of this offer is not as good as it sounds. I can see someone really using the BL cards, but that would be a special case. I actually am in contact with one of the biggest reseler shops at ebay and this offer is simply not good for him. Well I am glad each time someone buys cards to play them and use them, but this price is in my opinion a little too much. Seller would have better shot at selling by a) lowering overall price, b) splitting into parts. If the second option was done correctly, I believe it would raise even more money. I think it will not sell for this price, but I am fairly known for being often wrong B)

I don't think it will actually make $ 1500 even if split into smaller lots. I mean, sure, selling the whole bunch as singles will likely make over $1500 eventually, but that may take months or maybe even years to sell.
From the community, there is a lot of interest in the Bloodline cards for obvious reasons. Splitting those off would potentially lead to a juicy auction price *for those cards*, but most of the other cards -bar a few- are just cards that everyone has 10 of already. Probably the best way to sell this collection is to auction all the bloodlines stuff as a single lot and then list the remaining valuabe rares as singles. Then contact an established singles seller and negotiate a fair price with him for the remaining cards.
