BEST CARD EVER - GIANTS BLOOD

It's a great card but you can't really rely on it: - the first player who plays it win - to take advantage of it (in matter of pool gain), you need to play Villein first (or Minion Tap) If all 5 players have a Giant's Blood in their deck, it will be a dead card for 4 of them. But feel free to build decks with 10 Giant's Blood in them if you want Prince of Paris, France Ratings Coordinator, Rules Director

It's an average card. From time to time, it will be very good, most of the time it will be passable. Quite frankly, if you think it is even an excellent card, it mean you either never played dominate or don't understand how it work.

I stopped playing with Giant's Blood - there are too many conditions to be met to have it worthwhile being played AND there is such a high chance of contesting the use of it in tournament environment that I'd rather just spend my master slot on something I'll use whenever it comes and regardless of what other players are playing. Far from it that GB is a bad card, it certainly isn't, but it is for me very far from auto-include when i build my decks, even with fatties...

Giant's Blood is ridiculously good. It was quite playable before Villein, after Villein it's almost a must-include if only -as Ashur pointed out- to prevent someone else from getting a free 10-cap.

THe other nine game, another one will have played it first, or you will have played to gain 2-4 blood to make sure nobody beat you to it. In any case, one thing you will surely agree upon is that you can't base strategy upon Giant Blood. You put it into your deck because it's almost alway a good thing to have, but it's not strategy-defining like Govern can be, or even a solid support like bleed redirection or Freak Drive. It's the lottery card that give you a solid advantage one game out of ten.

It fits mine just fine, but then again I´m all for banning it because of the stupid lottery aspect. The problem with Giant's Blood is that it's not a concious deck construction decision whether or not you play it. You play it by default unless you specifically decide not to. And even then, your deck probably would be better with a copy in there.

It take only one slot, it's almost alway worth the master action, and you will almost never choke on it. Where I beg to differ is that it is very good. Is a deck changed by removing the giant blood from it ? usually not. It will be a bit less good and won't have a chance to suddenly gain lot of blood, but it will still be playable and keep the same ability to gain victory point. I am personnaly against the ban, but only because ban or errata are for disruptive card. I don't think the effect of Giant Blood is powerful enough to warrant such a drastic mesure.

I don't play a giant's blood in nearly every deck I play, only in those with 7+ capacity vampires usually. Or in decks that I know will spend blood like crazy.

instead of giants blood i just play 10 copies of Life in the City so eventually i get my 10cap vampire for free.
