How do you keep track of your cards, stock that is?

Hi all, I've been rummaging through my old cards lately and while I did try to store them 'logically', they still mix up (i.e. masters and reactions, stuff like that). I was wondering how you guys/girls keep your cards seperate, I mean do you? Do you have a stack of mastercards and a stack of reaction cards, or do you sort them by discipline and/or clan? I dont think I want to make a spreadsheet for it (or DL one), I have about 1.5-2 meters of cards... waaaay too many I think (although I am sure people here have a lot, lot more than that). How do you stock them? And, if you want to build a deck (or rebuild one from the internets) do you just throw them all on the table, or... ?? Cheers all,

Personally, I sort my cards by discipline (with masters/equipment/other discipline-less cards in their own, respective piles). Vampires by clan, and clan-specific cards in those piles. Then again, I don't have that many cards, so the stacks aren't too big - if I were to have a very large collection, I'd have to sort them by discipline AND type of card to make finding the right card easier. As for deck building, I usually make my deck on paper (or in ARDB) first, and then find the proper stacks of cards, take out the cards, sleeve them, and put the stacks back in the boxes I store them in.

I keep the vampires in binders: too many different cards in too few copies of each to be convenient to browse in a stack. 3 big binders are enough for all the vampires in the game if you put copies of the same vampire in the same slot. They are sorted by clan, then group, then capacity. The library cards are in big stacks, sorted by type for generic cards or requirement (sect, clan, discipline, anarch, black hand), then alphabetically. That is quick enough to browse when searching for specific cards. I always make a decklist on Secret Library before building the deck, so I never browse the cards randomly.

I'm still thinking about how to sort my vampires. I store my library cards into drawers, sorted : - by discipline - multiple disciplines are apart (including 3-ways but not the bloodline disciplines cards with outferior) - master - event - master skill cards - master hunting grounds (could be mixed with masters though) - disciplineless action (whatever their requirement) - disciplineless reaction (whatever their requirement) - disciplineless combat (whatever their requirement) - disciplineless combo (whatever their requirement) - disciplineless allies - disciplineless retainers - disciplineless equipment - disciplineless political actions - imbued related cards Of course, inside a category everything is sorted alphabetically. For big collections (disciplineless actions, master cards...) I have some separators for each letter. When building the deck, I use ARDB. When done, I pick up the cards. I use this: Vampires sorted alphabetically by clan, and then, by group, and then, by capacity, and then alphabetically. Library cards are sorted in different stacks: - No clan/trait/discipline requirement cards (splitted into Masters, Actions [plain actions, Equipment, Political Actions, Retainers], Action Modifiers, Combat, Reaction, Combo - Discipline cards [Actions, Equipment / Retainer / Political, Action Modifiers, Reaction, Combo] - Clan Cards (as above) - Imbued cards (Conviction, Master, Action, ..) - Weird stuff (Aye/Orun, Black Hand, Anarch, ...)

Thnks for that link and thread . I'll read it, and will probably look for an off-line deck building program to fill in. Something to look forward to if I have some time to kill:).

Inventory-wise, mine are all documented in Secret Library, which I use when deck-building. Storage-wise, I have all vampires split up by clan (and each clan rubber-banded separately), and then each clan's vampires are alphabetised. Library cards are split up by type (Master, Actions, Combat, etc), then alphabetised and rubber-banded in groups by first-letter. All of them are then stored in "Really Useful Products" plastic storage-boxes, and look like the pic linked below (vampires in the lower box, library in the upper box): ( Link )

I' ve heared good things about ARDB, I guess I'll check that out. While updating my stock, I can sort them at the same time... sounds good to me !

So, using WWEF as an example, in Secret Library I'd say I have 73 of them; in ARDB, I'd have to specify I have 22 HTTB, 6 LoB, 6 BH, 20 KMW, and so on. It's a lot more information to enter in, but I can see it being very useful if you have the patience to enter every card properly...

It's a lot more information to enter in, but I can see it being very useful if you have the patience to enter every card properly... > i think this only happens if you select by set initially, and then enter card quantity. it was indeed a problem at first, since i wasn't sure why i had inconsistent numbers. Kind of wishing there's an option to say count as one, or count per set. ardb is good. only problem i have with it is that i can't filter the cards unique to a set. such as ashur tables, etc, from KoT

Allright, question about ARDB: I've put in the 10th anniversary boxes. Now I want to add some vamps, starting with the Jyhad ones. HAsina Kesi is in the 10th box, and I have 1 as a Jyhad vamp as well. How can I add her as Jyhad, but let the program know that, in the end, I have 2 in total in my possesion? I'm missing something obviously, is there some kind of text floating around on how stuff should work, how to add cards from different expansion but so, that they all show up in the end if you want to build a deck?

I use de FELDB to keep track of cards and decks. I used to keep everything in Ikea Fira drawers. Unfortunately Ikea does not have them anymore, so I also use wood bottle boxes. I have everything sorted. Crypt cards are sorted by clan/name and library cards by type/name. All my cards are sleeved so that increases the storage needs.

For the inventory/ decks' lists I'm using FELDB. For the cards I'm using shoes box (library cards sorted by types and disciplines) and a badge (crypt cards sorted by clan)
