Hello... First post here, and english is not my mother language, so please, be gentle I would like to get some help in improving this deck i have been playing with lately. How do you intend to oust? Bleed at stealth and voting How do you intend to keep from being ousted? Recovering blood of my huge minions using villein, parity shifts, some bounce. Mild bloat using Arcane Library What do you want your ready region to look like (ie, how many guys are you planning on getting out)? Malgorzata and Mistress Fanchon out, with a Prince or Justicar with them Mistress Fanchon all tool up, with rutor and helicopter, if possible What do you want your average turn to look like? Mistress Fanchon searching my library for whatever is needed most, and then bleeding and voting with my minions. Mistres Fanchon would end my turn untaped, to be able to play deflection if needed What's your metagame like? How do your opponents play? Quite varied. I intend to go to tournaments with this deck What problems have you observed with the deck in play? My minions lose lot of blood, and i don't have any good tech to be able to recover it quickly. Also, not very satisfied with the master section... I need to have minions quickly, but 4x Information Highway seem to be too much of them... I am returning now to play, after almost a year without playing, and was wondering if there is some new tech i don't know about that could help this deck... Also, the deck is not too focused... it has a lot of cards that you wouldn't usually include in a deck, just in case you need them, but Mistress Fanchon ability allows you to try to adapt to wahtever you are facing... Maybe some trimming is in order to make the deck more stable... Here is the deck Deck Name : Malgorzata & Mistress Fanchion Author : Description : Crypt [12 vampires] Capacity min: 8 max: 11 average: 9.41667 4x Mistress Fanchon (11) inner circleTremere(group 4) 4x Malgorzata (9) priscusTremere antitribu(group 4) 1x Dr. John Dee (9) princeTremere(group 4) 1x Anastasz di Zagreb (8) justicarTremere(group 3) 1x Troius (8) princeTremere(group 4) 1x Victorine Lafourcade (8) princeVentrue(group 3) Library [90 cards] Action [16] 1x Aranthebes, The Immortal 1x Blood of Sandman 1x Far Mastery 8x Govern the Unaligned 2x Magic of the Smith 2x Rutor's Hand 1x Soul Decoration Action Modifier [14] 6x Changeling 1x Enkil Cog 7x Mirror Walk Action Modifier/Combat [8] 8x Plasmic Form Ally [1] 1x Ponticulus Combat [5] 5x Meld with the Land Equipment [4] 1x Heart of Nizchetus 2x Helicopter 1x Sargon Fragment, The Master [21] 1x Arcane Library 2x Dreams of the Sphinx 2x Effective Management 1x Giant's Blood 1x Golconda: Inner Peace 4x Information Highway 2x Secure Haven 2x Vessel 6x Villein Political Action [14] 2x Alastor 1x Anarchist Uprising 1x Banishment 4x Kine Resources Contested 4x Parity Shift 1x Political Stranglehold 1x Reins of Power Reaction [7] 7x Deflection Crafted with : Anarch Revolt Deck Builder. I would cut the Parity shifts: none of your two stars can play it. Just play more Banishment instead, it is always funny in a meta full of Villeins.

You won't be able to do this early in the game (because you'll lack untap and minions) so using her special should really be seen as a last measure option. And you're really lacking stealth to be able to do things with Fanchon. Prince of Paris, France Ratings Coordinator, Rules Director

To be honest, it seems to me like you're trying to cram two concepts into a single deck - a VIC angle and a political deck, and that, IMHO, makes a deck a bit all over the place. I'd choose - VIC angle gives you access to more stealth and/or bleed and some wicked non-standard (for Tremere) combat options. If you choose politics, you should drop VIC angle and just choose either Tremere or !Tremere (both can be very decent vote decks). Also, should you choose politics and Tremere, you could go for an ANI angle (Gabi+Dr.Dee), since it provides stealth and S:CE and you can play parity shifts much more easily... But, let's focus on this deck. I'd say you really should go with less Villeins and more Vessels/Blood Dolls - you will probably want to play Rutor's Hands as soon as possible and you need fuller vamps for that. If speed is what you lack, you could always play more Dreams and, since your main players are 8+ caps, Zillah's Valleys... Plasmic Form is an ok card, but 8 is pushing it, especially considering its cost. Blood of the Sandman could be dropped (it's nice but a tad too expensive for a competitive play), as perhaps should Far Mastery and Soul Decoration. As previously mentioned, you should reconsider your Political section - IMO all your politics should be playable by both your main vamps, if that is your concept. This means replacing Parity Shifts and Alastors with something else...

Hello, every once in a while a deck I see intrigues me and I like when a person honestly asks for help (you would be amazed how many people "ask" for help, but really, they think their deck is perfect.) So if you don't mind, I'll do a little bit of analysis of your deck. NOTE: The analysis is to NOT just make a streamlined deck (how I would see it). You gave requirements when you answered the questions about what you want your deck to do, so I will stick to that theme. Analysis: So its a stealth vote bleed deck with 3 big guys, where at least 1 is a prince. I actually like the non-party shift approach mentioned and then you can use Orlando as well but Parity shift it is! First step - Vampires. Not a bad crypt for your theme. But did you consider group 5? Graham Gottesman 7 obf pre tha DOM FOR Gabrielle di Righetti 10 obf pot ANI AUS DOM THA [Very strong] [Note that if you go group 5 Obfuscate is an option - see stealth below] Next step - getting out 3 big vampires. If they were all Prince-Justicar I would go with the 8 Zillah's valley approach (makes parity shift easy) but since you do not, the standard 3 Zillah's, 3 Info Highway, 3 Dreams seems good. Arcane Library, 7 villeins, Pentex, Giant's blood. That is 19 masters right there. Because 7 are trifles and some will be easily discarded, you can probably go to around 23. In your play just make sure to not hold your masters or your will hand jam easily. Not relavent to this analysis (kinda) but I play The Barrens in almost every deck and rarely disappointed. Next step - your oust is mostly vote, but with govern and IC you have some bleed too. The mechanic to lead to oust is stealth (as opposed to combat or intercept). So what do they have? Mirror Walk is strong. Creepshow Casino and Monastery of Shadows is also good, but takes up some of your few precious master card slots left. Dominate does not have "stealth" per se', but Seduction and The Sleeping Mind** is good. **The Sleeping Mind is getting stronger in tournament meta. Its a seduction for a tapped minion at inferior and it destroys animalism untap and 2nd tradition. You can splash some Visissitude stealth but remember its the parity shifts that you really want unblocked. Even Change of Target is a nice trick. Lets assume around 15 cards. Stealth + Masters is now around 40. Next step: What you would like to see: "Mistress Fanchon searching my library for whatever is needed most, and then bleeding and voting with my minions. Mistres Fanchon would end my turn untaped, to be able to play deflection if needed" So how does one do this? Rutor's Hand is nice but that is 4 precious Villein pool. And you can't fill your deck with it. Norman Brown once said and I think there is something to it (paraphrase) "For every 3 capacity, a vampire needs to do one action OR reaction per turn." So if you have fortitude or serpentis, freak drive and Truth of 1000 lies is good. If auspex/dominate need to be able to bounce. So assume your average capacity is around 9. That means you have 1 action and need 2 reactions. Because of helicopter and rutors, you can probably "steal" slots from your reaction package for those toolups. So you have 7 deflections, probably some portion of wakes (eyes of argus is important). Note that if you want to go heavy on the untap. Eluding the Arms of Morpheus goes well with Deflection and Obedience. Lets assume you don't go the anti-combat route (obedience) and just stick to wakes. Makes it about 15 cards. Stealth + Masters + Reaction is now around 55. Adding Rutors and helicopter is around 5. Making it 60. Next step - Ousting package. This post is getting long so to be brief I would have about 20 cards to govern the unaligned and votes. That is you to play with. 5 should be parity shift for theme. Makes it 80. Next step - Flavor cards. 10 slots to add whatever you want. Combat defense? Final step - you have the deck! Play it out, adjust the ratios, have fun with it. Remember, you can try something that you think is weaker (example: Blood of Sandman) but you don't KNOW until you try it. Don't listen to us on flavor cards. We can only aid you on your theme. Hope this helps, Adam Hulse Prince of New York

Ach... there is always something forgotten. You mentioned keeping blood on vampires. Couple of possible things. - ankara citidel - although its very popular now and may contest - abactor - you have vote lock after all. - Perfectionist - but I wouldn't recommend it. - Coven - you are non-combat so you don't care if other guys get the blood. - Votercap - because of malgorzatta and vicotrine you can splash one or two. And if you add a Presence master card so that Mistress Falchon can banish 11-caps...

Hello again... Thank you all for all your answers, they have been most helpfull... I think that i will try to keep the princes/justicar angle just for a while, as they have worked mostly fine for me... Will try to trim the deck a bit to try to make space for some of your suggestions, but i would like to ask erewego why he does not recommend perfectionist? It seemed one of the best solutions for me... don't like abactor (too risky), was considering lilith's blessing (i know, everyone and his mother includes lilith's blessing in all decks nowadays, but even without abusing it with villeins i think it could work fine in this deck) and also was considering papillon (too expensive, and i need one of the princes in play).

Allow me to ramble a bit more about Malgorzata and/or Tremere political decks. If your main goal is to play with Malgorzata (something I endorse 100%, check my av), I believe there is a more functioning approach, should you consider tournament environment. In that case, I'd probably make a pure !Tremere g3-4 deck with Malgorzata as a star vampire, with the intent to exploit her awesome special. I'd also drop the political angle and concentrate on stealth/bleed and fill the rest of the crypt with awesome midcaps !Tremere have. You have access to another vamp with VIC (via Infernal Pact), so you'd have two vamps that act and the rest as a support. Keeping it simple is the way to go - you're already tinkering with four disciplines. However, should your main goal be making a functioning political Tremere/!Tremere g4-5 deck, there are at least two very functioning ways to do it, depending on your crypt preferences: v1 is concentrating on Mistress as your main vamp, backed up by Orlando. The benefit is threefold: 1) you have 10 votes from 2 vamps (compare it with 7 you'd get from Mistress+Malgorzata); 2)both of your star vamps have +bleed abilities, meaning you can go easy with bleed modifiers; and 3) both of your vamps share obfucsate, which can be huge in political decks. The rest of your crypt can be splashes of princes (Dr. Dee, Troius), solid titled vamps (Zane) and 1-2 Geralds to secure your vote lock. Downside of this is that none of your vamps are princes/justicars so you don't get access to traditions and Parity Shifts. v2, and my preferred version is concentrating on Gabi/Dr. Dee angle. They are both princes/justicars. Dr. Dee has a political special, Gabi has an awesome special, which can both bloat you and rid you of troublesome allies. This setup is more suitable for combat-heavy environments, as you can combine 2nd Traditions and Obediences as your main defense against your predator and rush actions (you have Mirror Walks as a 'forward' protection). Those two vamps also share ANI, which gives you access to several awesome splash cards: Mind of the Wilds as an additional stealth/manouver, S:CE should you desire it and (my personal silver bullet card for my meta) Shepherd's Innocence. This time Mistress can play a second role in your crypt (personally, I've played and won a small local tournament with this setup and she's, due to her size, always been the last vamp coming out), as well as the usual suspects - Orlando, Troius, Gerald... As well as 2nd trad/Obedience, you get access to Parity Shifts, which is a huge asset. Also, and I always suggest this, whenever I'm commenting on a Tremere deck, I'd put a Wasserschloss Anif in. It can really speed up your influence of a second vampire or just return excess blood from your vamps in play. It is often neglected by other players and, in worst case scenario, you spend MPA for a single (or more blood) being returned to your pool and at least one action from another player (usually predator). Ramble over (for now:) ). EDIT: yeah, Perfectionist is a great card. However, in these types of decks, your master selection is very important and, regrettably, you can very easily have to drop Perfectionist in favor of some other, more vital masters, like Zillahs, Monastery, Casino, villeins/Vessels...should you find room for 1-2 Perfectionists, by all means, do put it in!

" Kiddo has it right on the money. Unless you increase slots for more master phases or just accept that your deck will be slow (removing things like zillah's) its just too many master cards.

To each their own. When I don't have combat, to be able to rescue-coven-action seems always good. And when I need blood for govern/rutors/deflection seems not to bad. And its a trifle. But again, to each their own. Adam

Did somebody say ? I like the basic idea behind your deck. Big minions, multiple actions, strong votes, some stealth. But not enough vampires in your crypt can play Parity Shift. Something's got to give - my suggestions: 1. Keep Parity Shift. Replace Malgorzata with Gabrielle di Righetti and maybe make room for Orlando Oriundus. Use obfuscate for stealth instead of vicissitude. Use Mirror Walk and Obedience for combat defense instead of Meld with the Land. 2. Lose Parity Shift. Find titled vampires with vicissitude to fit into the crypt, like Radu Bistri. Find alternate pool gain methods like Bribes, Black Forest Base, or more copies of Govern the Unaligned. You had a few concerns about the deck. Blood on vampires: Rutor's Hand after a Villein taps you out. You have many votes for defense and 7 Deflections... how about just using Blood Dolls? If you decide to replace Malgorzata with Gabrielle, you can rely on getting Academic Hunting Ground into play. Masters and card flow: You should add at least 1 more Dreams of the Sphinx if you stay at 90 cards. Since it doubles as card flow after boosting your transfers, it's slightly better for you than Information Highway. Adam had a good suggestion: if you stick to Parity Shift use something like 8x Zillah's Valley. And don't forget the Barrens.

Unless you csn put out a lot of damage don't play it. Nearly every deck can pull back blood to pool. So you should care. > this is a valid point. though in practice, most decks have already been tuned to balance the blood gain to their blood costs/pulls, and it usually just ends up being redundant for them. they suddenly receive more resources than they were designed to take advantage of. I always say, if you're going to use the Coven, make sure you get more benefit out of it than anyone else at the table. Milk it for all it's worth! that said, I agree that this deck is not designed for Coven. Perfectionist or Lillith's Blessing is better, even Hunting Grounds can go a long way. if you can reliably get the extra-untap cards early on, a few Coolers can make a big difference (a very underrated bloodgain card)
