Oh Hai.
If I untap Annazir after having stolen an equipment, can I go and burn a location or is it considered "having already used this card's buit in action" ?
And as a sidenote, If i "steal an equipment" and this equipement is an untapped helicopter, do I tap it or does it stay untapped for more funky actions ?
thanks !

Independent: Annazir has 2 votes (titled). He may burn a location or steal an equipment as a action. +1 bleed. Infernal.

My guess it that, since it is a single sentence, Annazir's abilities are in fact a single ability, so no repeat actions for him. Also, I'd consider an equipment stealing an equip action, so Annazir stays tapped after stealing a Helicopter.
I'll wait for floppy's (pascal) input on this. Because stealing an equipment = equip action ? Which would mean some modifiers can be played on it, and so on...
And for the built in action, I wonder if it's not a case of editing (space available) that makes it a single power -_-

Stealing is not equipping:

his ability may be one sentence to save on cardtext, but it's two different clauses. so I would say it's two different abilities, which can both be attempted in the same turn if he untaps.

Virstania is the closest example: she gives gargoyles 2 abilities that are also written together in a single sentence, but LSJ has ruled that both can be used seperately.
(this question seems to depend more on english sentence structure than game rules, yay)
Ho Haze, thanks for the first link where I'm already asking the question to LSJ in year 2000 Memory loss is a bad thing ! ;p

It does count as using one of Annazir's built-in actions, but you can still use the other one.

An action to steal an equipment isn't an action to equip. If Annazir steals a Helicopter via his ability, the Helicopter doesn't tap. Similarly, an action to diablerize someone with an equipment isn't an action to equip, even though you may have some new equipment in the end.
Great !
now, what about Sebastian goulet merged ?
"He can steal a retainer or an ally as a +1 stealth action."
Can I steal an ally, then a retainer in the same turn ?
And for Bulscu ?
" If you control the Edge, Bulscu can steal a location or an equipment in play that costs 3 or less pool or blood as a action."
So all built in actions with multiple choices of target are indeed separate actions ?

I guess not, because it hasn't a "Do X or do Y as an action" pattern.

No.

No.
And same for Ebanezer Roush. It's the same action, only the target changes in these cases.
So, for Bulscu and Sebastian Goulet, the action is actually "steal", not "steal a retainer", "steal an ally", "steal a location" or "steal an equipment". But for Annazir, the actions are "steal" or "burn", so he has 2 actions.
I like that clarification.
Just to make sure: If Sebastian Goulet adv. was written "Sebastian Goulet may steal a retainer or steal an ally as a action", would that change the answer?

In that theorical case, it would be two distinct actions.
