Oh man this is my dreams come true.

Fantasy Flight is releasing new edition of Netrunner. It is the least known of three Richard Garfield games (MTG, Jyhad, Netrunner) but that game is amazing. Maybe there is a hope also for Vtes to make comeback too. At least this shows that Hasbro is not impossible to discuss about the copyright if Hasbro still even had the copyright for Netrunner.
EDIT Seems like there is copyright Wizard of the Coast (Hasbro) in the cards
And I just read about Netrunner for the first time today! This is awesome news. In a sense, but on the other hand now I'll have yet another money sink...
Anyways, this will be interesting.

Saw that too. New players will discover this fantastic game. I am so happy

Netrunner is a fantastic game. I never got that into it, but I have some cards. The game design is really superb. I'm very glad to see it making a comeback. I'll probably get some cards at Origins if anybody wants to play (and if you don't, I'll force you to, so there).
Yeah, heard about this yesterday, great news. Netrunner is an awesome game, easily the best two-person CCG I've ever played. It's been ages since I last player if though, but this new edition will probably change that

Heh, I recall you giving me a taster of the game while we were driving around in Europe in... 1996?
So I've tried it out just once (too many games, too little time), but it sure seemed a good game.
Very happy that it makes a comeback!

no, the old cards are not compatible.
It's a brand new game, with card limits and simplified rules (no more trace couting).
But there is still runners, corpo, and icbreakers to breach so you can access juicy agendas.

So, if you sleeve your deck, you can possibly do netrunner deck with thoses new cards, just not the other way around

The press release says it's for two, but coming up with a way to make it for more players probably wouldn't be that hard. You could give the corp extra bits to fend off multiple runners or you could play even numbers with an equal amount of runners and corps. Considering Fantasy Flight has released rules for 2 player BSG (not really that much fun), I wouldn't be surprised if they tossed in a suggestion for larger games or released alternate rules as a PDF or something.

Biggest change is that there will be factions and 3x card limit.
EDIT I like look of the cards. Just hoping they would bit darker and more cyber punkish.

Well, they feel very Deus Ex 3 like for me. A lot of bling everywhere.
