What means Engling Fury?

Topic says it all. I couldn't find it in the dictionary (engling, not fury ). Baron of Frankfurt

Its the Spiritus level 4 power from the rpg, in that you basically drain the essence of animal spirits to regain willpower. Engling iirc was a type of spirit in the WoD rpg.

It might also come from the word engle (to cajole, to coax) so it would be "coaxing fury".

I'll ask Laurie as he might have a proper OED lying around. I get the feeling though Joscha that the word might have Germanic roots?

That rather would be "Angel's Fury". Should it be an adjective? In German that rather would be "englig" (just like "eklig", disgusting or "lustig", funny). But there is nothing like "englig" in German, you would rather use "engelsgleich", angelic. So I don't know, why they called it "engling". Maybe the designer of the card is a user of this forum too? Well, if you spell "engling" backwards, you get "gnilgne". "gn" being pronounced "ni" in french, you get "niilnie" which is obviously a scandinavian term for "nothing/never". From Werewolf the Apocalypse Second Edition, p. 301 (wta-pastdue.livejournal.com/644.html): "Englings, Jagglings of Gaia, are spirits of Gnosis that Garou hunt during moots. Once caught, the Engling is thanked for giving itself to strengthen the Garou. If the ceremony is performed properly, the participants regain all their Gnosis." I imagine this must be a made-up term of the WtA RPG. It looks like Ahrimanes with Level 4 Spiritus can hunt Engling spirits like Werewolves do, regaining Willpower instead of Gnosis.

Gnosis, for those who aren't familiar with Werewolf terminology, could be summed as the spiritual might, similar to mana or chi. whitewolf.wikia.com/wiki/Gnosis_%28WTA%29 Finnish Politics!
