At the tournament in Mainz, Germany, occured following problem regarding these two cards:
Cloak the Gathering
[obf] +1 stealth.
[OBF] Only usable by a ready vampire other than the acting minion you control. The action gets +1 stealth.
Mask of a Thousand Faces
[obf] Only usable by a ready, untapped vampire other than the acting minion who is capable of performing the action. Not usable if any action modifiers or other effects have been used that could not have been used if this vampire were the acting vampire. Untap the acting minion and tap this vampire instead. The action continues with this vampire as the acting minion.
[OBF] As above, with +1 stealth.
The case: Gideon Fontaine (no Obfuscate) called a KRC (+1 stealth undirected) an was blocked by Carna (+1 intercept). Arika played "Cloak the Gathering" on superior to give Gideon an additional +1 stealth. Carna played Enhanced Senses for additional +2 intercept.
At this point the controller of Gideon and Arika wanted to play "Mask of a 1000 Faces" (on superior) with Arika, to hopefully "stealth through" the action with her.
We decided that Arika cannot play "Mask of a 1000 Faces" in this situation, because "Not usable if any action modifiers or other effects have been used that could not have been used if this vampire were the acting vampire." conflicts with "Cloak the Gathering"'s superior text "Only usable by a ready vampire other than the acting minion you control."
Were we right?

Note that this specific ruling was in the days before Mask with a Thousand Faces was clarified to not ever be playable on an action started by a minion with +1 stealth.
While it was valid at the time, it isn't valid now.
That thread was over-turned in 2004:

Yes.
I had LSJ correct Cloak the Gathering (Jyhad version had the "Only", LotN didn't).
