(Now that I got my Prince-ID) I would like to know how new players will get registered. As far as I can see it, the is no thread for it right now or something else. Will new players get their IDs when the results of the tournament were archoned and sent to Damnans?

At the moment, this will have to be done manually by me.
So if any prince wants to add a new player to the VEKN Player database, please send me the following information:
1) Player's full name
2) City
3) State/province
4) Country
5) E-mail address
5) VEKN ID# provided by his or her prince (which is the general Prince prefix followed by 4 digits)
Princes can check VEKN ID#'s availability in the Player Registry
For instance, if you enter your prince prefix to the veknid field in there you'll get all the players whose veknid starts with your prince prefix.

I have a "403 - You are not authorised to view this resource." error when attempting to access the provided link while logged in.
Additionaly, I wanted to check that I'm recorded as a Prince. Where can I check this?

Looking at the Player Registry, I found that apparently, this does not support German "Umlaute", thus crippling lots of players' names.
Can I ask to get this corrected in some manner?

Weird... Try to access the Player Registry from the top menu:
Home * Forum * Profile * Player Registry

If you can access the prince forum, then you are recorded as a prince:
www.vekn.net/index.php/forum/13-prince-list

The top menu link doesn't appear.
And I don't have access to the Prince forum (I didn't even know it existed), I'll contact the French NC.

You have been given the status of prince now.

It does support German "Umlaute" and many other characters. The player database is the one used by White Wolf, which did not support non-English characters.
I have already started to correct such mispellings. If anyone wants his or her name to be spelled right in the player database, please let me know.

Could it be possible to get an extract of the database (say per country) to correct all the mistakes in one batch?
Generating the updates for the database could be very quick using for instance an excel sheet to generate the sql statements from the data.

I have now access to the player registry, but not to the Prince's subforum...

You should. Please, retry: www.vekn.net/index.php/forum/13-prince-list

Player Registry is now open to all registered users. You should have access to the Prince Subforum. It might take some time for the forum cache to catch on these kind of changes.

That may not be that easy to correct, since we have encountered different kind of mistakes: A ) Weird symbols appearing instead of characters with accents or other non-English characters, B ) Omission of such characters, since the server was unable to display them (e.g. "Gins" instead of "Ginés"), C ) Mistyped names...

I think that, for the time being, it would be better for you to report mispelled player names to me, as you find them out in the database.

Our database manager is working on this. In case of missing characters, we need your feedback. In case of distorted characters, we hope to get this fixed with a script, but your feedback will let us fix certain parts of the database faster.
