A question regarding the new wording of Villein: Master: trifle. Put this card on a vampire you control and move 2 or more blood from that vampire to your pool. Minion Tap cards cost {you} an additional pool. Villein costs an additional pool to play on this vampire. Previously, it read "Minion Tap cards cost an additional pool." Which was a blanket statement affecting all Methuselahs. As I understand the new sentence, any Minion Tap (regardless who plays it) would cost you (the controllor of this specific copy of Villein) an additional pool. If I'm wrong, I would like to know the reason why. Because the only change is who is affected by the increased cost, no change has been made by whom the minion tap is played. Villein does not ask about that, and never has. pckvtes.wordpress.com

I guess you pay an extra pool every time you pay for someone else's Minion Tap. Which is, conveniently, never. (Compare with Jane Sims, who pays extra for non-combat cards but presumably only when she plays them.)

Don't be silly. Do you pay the cost of anyone else's cards? Then why would someone else's Minion Tap cost you a pool?

See [LSJ 20081124] for a similar question (about Walker Grimes).
