when I equip via Vast Wealth and the action is blocked, the weapon I tryed to equip is put in the ash heap. Does that qualify as "used for the action" to play Hay Ride or would I have to play the equipment card from the hand and use its inherent equip acton for that? Vast Wealth Master Master. Put this card on a ready minion you control. While you control this minion, he or she can equip with the first piece of equipment you find in your library (working down from the top) as a +1 stealth action (requirements and cost apply as normal). Shuffle afterward. Hay Ride [HttB:R] Cardtype: Action Modifier Cost: 1 blood Discipline:Sanguinus [san] Only usable after resolving an action (successfully or not). Choose a Blood Brother of the same circle as this acting vampire. As your next action, that Blood Brother may play the action card used for this action from your ash heap as if from your hand. [SAN ] As above, but the cost of this card is reduced by 1 blood.

Vast Wealth allows you to take an action to search for a weapon. If the action is blocked, you don't search your library. pckvtes.wordpress.com

I mean, "Only usable after resolving an action (successfully or not)" seems like it would apply in this case. And, "As your next action, that Blood Brother may" is clearly both optional and outside the scope of this action. Contrast the case where the chosen Blood Brother is unable to take an action. (They may have a Bauble, or just be tapped.) That would also prohibit the optional clause from being possible, but I wouldn't expect that to prevent the play of Hay Ride.

The card allows you to play an action card again. If there's no action card, you can't play HR. Prince of Paris, France Ratings Coordinator, Rules Director

hrmpf intellectual self-oust Originally I was looking for a card that grants a Anonymous-Freight-like effect without being an action itself, but obviously such a card does not exist. And if equiping with Anonymous Freight, Hay Ride probably can only be used for this and not for the equipment. Anonymous Freight Action +3 stealth equip action. Requires a vampire. Equip this vampire with a non-location equipment card from your hand (requirements and cost apply as normal).

This is not an action and cannot be blocked. > In this case, the equipping part is not an action (so you can't play action modifiers - such as Forger's Hammer - on it). It also triggers during the influence phase, where minion cards can't be played.
