There must be something going around the internet.... Followers of Set grabbed my attention last night as well. Deck hasn't yet been played, did see 'a lot' of rush based combat last Saturday, but only 1 of the decks played Immortal Grapple. Deck Name : The Villein Eternal Author : Lasombra Description : Happened upon a few copies of Eternals of Sirius. It seems to be made to be played with Villein and Voter Captivation. Crypt [12 vampires] Capacity min: 9 max: 10 average: 9.33333 2x Nakhthorheb (10) Follower of Set(g4) 2x Seterpenre (10) Follower of Set(g5) 2x Neferu (9) 2 votesFollower of Set(g4) 2x Pentweret (9) Follower of Set(g5) 2x Porphyrion (9) Follower of Set(g5) 2x Shemti (9) 1 voteFollower of Set(g5) Library [90 cards] Action [7] 3x Enticement 4x Public Trust Action Modifier [32] 4x Awe 4x Bewitching Oration 4x Forgotten Labyrinth 7x Freak Drive 8x Lost in Crowds 5x Voter Captivation Combat [8] 8x Majesty Master [24] 8x Eternals of Sirius, The 1x Ferraille 2x Fortitude 1x Khobar Towers, Al-Khubar 1x Monastery of Shadows 1x Opium Den 8x Villein 2x Wider View Political Action [12] 1x Anarchist Uprising 1x Ancient Influence 1x Ancilla Empowerment 1x Domain Challenge 1x Political Stranglehold 5x Reckless Agitation 1x Reins of Power 1x Rumors of Gehenna Reaction [7] 3x Confusion of the Eye 4x Ecstasy How do you intend to oust? Bleeds at stealth, or Reckless Agitation. How do you intend to keep from being ousted? Effectively spend very little on minions, and gain pool from Voter Captivation and specific votes. What do you want your ready region to look like (ie, how many guys are you planning on getting out)? The deck should easily support the first four minions, if it flows well. What do you want your average turn to look like? Villein a 9 cap in play down to 3 or so, then play Eternals of Sirius to prep the next 9 cap to come into play. Bleed or call a vote. Then transfer the rest to the 9 cap and bring it into play. What's your metagame like? How do your opponents play? Any standard tier 1 deck can be encountered at any time. Random strange stuff pops up its head regularly as well. What problems have you observed with the deck in play? Haven't played it yet. Potential problems are modifier jam with no votes to play them on.

Public Trust is good. Entrancement can give you strong allies. I'd change some PT to Entrancements. Baron of Frankfurt

Swallowed by the night is great because they provide combat defense (and a way to avoid grapples). With big minions, Into thin Air should be prefered to Forgotten Labyrinth. Prince of Paris, France Ratings Coordinator, Rules Director

My opponents are very fond of Enkil Cog and minions that can play it, so requiring my opponent's minions to be younger for the effective 3rd stealth is a mistake in my metagame.

With your crypt the Khobar Towers should really be a Golconda. It doesn't cost pool, serves more or less the same purpose and can be used offensively if the need arises. I also think the Monastery isn't quite worth the 3 pool since you should have enough stealth from just the obfuscate and the Opium Den. It should be either a second Golconda or maybe a Giant's Blood. Finally I believe Awe is better as Perfect Paragon, but your taste may be different.

KT can go into play, and wait there until I need it. I've only seen 1 Arson played in the last ~2 years or so. > Izaak wrote: > Finally I believe Awe is better as Perfect Paragon, but your taste may be different. > Three votes vs. as many votes as I need. In this deck with few titled vampires, the Awe may be more necessary. In the weekly metagame, Delaying Tactics is infrequently seen, in local tournaments it is more prevalent. Unfortunately, Perfect Paragon is a quick and easy sell, so all of my copies were sold long ago.

Can you fit a Lilith's Blessing or two in, makes your vamps essentially free and can help you fetch those Fortitude discipline cards. Not sure what you would take out though. Aaron Archbishop Adelaide

Even though it is not the strongest card ever, it is good for what ails you. Be careful when you fight the monsters, lest you become one. -Friedrich Nietzsche brandonsantacruz.blogspot.com/

Discipline cards do not affect his capacity. No fetching necessary, they come into play as soon as he does.... Lilith's is good, but there are too many master cards in the deck as proposed, even with 10 of them being trifles.

Maybe trade in a Freak Drive for a Cryptic Rider, if you think you can chain a friendly vote into a Reckless Agitation.
