Name: Cautionary Tale Type: Combat Requires a ready Sabbat vampire. Only usable when the opposing vampire should go to torpor. Place Cautionary Tale on this Sabbat vampire. This vampire may burn Cautionary Tale to gain two votes during a referendum. A vampire may have only one Cautionary Tale. If this vampire goes to torpor, burn this card. Name: Shock And Awe Type: Combat. Aim. Play when choosing a strike. Requires a Sabbat vampire. If any damage from this strike is successfully inflicted on the opposing minion, this Sabbat vampire may burn 1 blood to place this card on that opposing minion. The opposing minion may not cast votes during political actions called by this Sabbat vampire. The opposing minion may remove Shock And Awe as a action. Name: Warpath Type: Action Modifier Cost: 1 blood Requires a Sabbat vampire. Only usable as the acting vampire's political action is announced. If this action is successfully blocked and combat occurs, damaging strikes played by this acting vampire deal 1 additional damage. If this Sabbat vampire is an Archbishop, Priscus or Regent, the blocking vampire also may not dodge or end combat as a strike.

I like them all. Cautionary Tale should be reworded: Requires a ready Sabbat vampire. Only usable when the opposing vampire goes to torpor. Prince of Paris, France Ratings Coordinator, Rules Director

No, Cautionary Tale should stay the way it is to avoid any shennanigans with cards like Undead Persistance. I don't know how much play Warpath will get, but I do like it. Retired Baron of Sydney, Australia, 418

I´d like to see Cautionary Tale as a location with the same mechanic as Alamut instead: Powerbase: Detroit Type: Master Requires a titled sabbat vampire Cost: 1 pool Master: unique location. If a Sabbat vampire you control is ready at the end of combat and the opposing non-sabbat vampire is not, put x counters on this card, where x is half the capacity of the non-sabbat vampire (rounded up). During the referendum of a political action, you may burn X counters from this card to give a sabbat vampire you control X votes for that referendum. (May need some teakning) Overkill is highly underrated. You know, like in computor games and such.

Powerbase: Detroit Master :pool:1 Requires a titled Sabbat vampire. Master: Unique Location. If a Sabbat vampire you control is ready at the end of a combat when an opposing non-Sabbat vampire was put into torpor, put X counters on this card where X is half (rounded up) of the capacity of the opposing vampire. During a referendum, you may burn X counters from this card to give a vampire you control X votes. Any titled Sabbat vampire may steal this location for their controller as a action. Or the other option would be to have it burn the counters on the location instead of stealing the location. Retired Baron of Sydney, Australia, 418

Amaranth uses "should go torpor" because it diablerizes the vampire "instead". There is no replacing effect there, I don't see why it should work if the opposing minion plays UP. Because it can be a cautionary tale to get nearly forced into torpor as much as it is to actually get sent there. "That guy nearly sent me into torpor!" Seems to me that it shouldn't be circumvented by Undead Persistence. It's not the 'replacing' effect but more about the idea that if you almost went into torpor you should be more worried about picking fights. It should also work if someone plays Psyche! or Telepathic Tracking after a Rotschreck. At any rate, the card as written does not require it to be played after combat and it does burn if the vampire playing it goes to torpor; so against an UP deck, they need to survive the rest of the combat as well. How about I nearly beat you to death? Would that convince you that maybe getting in my way would be a bad plan? It's not like I haven't done that sort of thing before... *Not saying I would physically beat you to death... but you get the point* Retired Baron of Sydney, Australia, 418

Songs are not written to praise those who *nearly* accomplished something. "Enkidu nearly crushed Rico Loco" seems a failure to me. Prince of Paris, France Ratings Coordinator, Rules Director
