brinkmanship is called and is on the table... You have a barrens in play, and 7 cards in all... On your untap, you start off with 7 cards... Can you tap the barrens and attempt to withdraw with no fear of the brinkmanship? From the text, it'll seem if you have less then a full hand, you are forced to withdraw... If your forced to withdraw and fail, you are ousted... But it'll all about the rulings... -- Direct access to this group with http://web2news.com http://web2news.com/?rec.games.trading-cards.jyhad

No. You can tap the Barrens, but you cannot attempt to withdraw. [9.2] > From the text, it'll seem if you have less then a full hand, you are > forced to withdraw... If you have less than a full hand at the start of your turn (as required by section 9.2 for attempts to withdraw at all) ... This is true. Card text. If you have a full hand at the start of your turn, you cannot withdraw and Brinksmanship doesn't force you to. > If your forced to withdraw and fail, you are > ousted... Correct. > But it'll all about the rulings... Just card text and section 9.2 in this case. -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. As a note, you could get higher than 37 capacity by clan impersonating Masika to other bloodlines clans, and then playing Sanguine Instruction. It would be funny to build a deck with the goal of getting a really big vampire. What's the highest capacity vampire you have ever seen in a game? At the SW qualifying tournament, I saw Paul play two thaumaturgy's on Arika making her 13 cap. Ira

Anyway, I've made Hannigan a 15 cap (with 4 flakjackets and 2 IR goggles) in a silly atonement-deck... =) Really pisses prey and predator off! /Henrik Isaksson
