You cannot use the Bang Nahk after burning the Vial of Garou Blood. You cannot burn the Vial of Elder Vitae after burning the Vial of Garou Blood. You cannot burn the Blood Tears of Kephran to gain blood after burning the Vial of Garou Blood. Yes, you guessed it, you cannot use ANY other equipment after burning a Vial of Garou Blood. Pesky Card Text. You can burn both of the Elder Vitae and the Blood Tears before range is determined though, so you can still use them before the Garou Blood. You definitely can't use the Bang Nahk with it though. > pre-range > > Weather Control (@ 15 blood, 1 damage to opponent) Weather Control's damage isn't during the strike resolution, so cannot be counted towards your total. > Carrion Crows > Drawing out the Beast > Thoughts Betrayed (at inferior, @ 13 blood) > Imposing Phantasm (+1 str, at 11, costs 1 blood @ 12) > Torn Signpost (base str 3, at 13) > Fists of Death (+2 str, at 15, costs 1 blood @ 11) > Increased Strength (+2 str with a Pot strike, at 17) > Fire in the Blood (+1 str, at 18, costs 1 blood @10) > Death of My Conscience (use 4 cards, +8 str, at 26, costs 3 blood @ 7) > use Vial of Garou Blood (+1 str, at 27) > use Vial of Elder Vitae to get VIC swap the order, and burn the Blood Tears first. > play Inner Essence (+1 blood @ 8) > Horrid Form (+1 str, at 28, 0 cost from Inner Essence) > Body Arsenal (+1 str, at 29, costs 2 blood @ 6) > Mythic Form (+1 str, at 30, costs 3 blood @3 > Blood of Acid (pay with the 2 rush counters) > > assume range stays close, or he has enough PRO maneuvers. Your opponent cannot manuever to long because of the Drawing out the Beast, so unless they set range to long with Shadow Step, or Cailean's ability the combat will be at close range. > strike > > Tap the Island of Yiaros (+5 strength to strike). But it would have to be played before Taste of Vitae (during strike resolution, in fact). Pulled Fangs is in as well, assuming this large amount of damage is sufficient to end combat during strike resolution. Also, the solution involves several environmental sources, while the original statment of the problem was "What is the most amount of damage any given vampire can inflict onto another vampire during strike resolution", implying that environmental damage wouldn't be counted. -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. I always believed that environmental damage resolved during Strike Resolution. I.E. I INTENDED environmental damage to be allowed. However I see various points on... 1) Vial of garou Blood (best if we just ignore that - I COMPLETELY missed the bottom card text) 2) Dragons Breath Rounds. I didn't know about that either. To be honest, I didn't see any card text that said no retainers. 3) Weather Control - pre range. 3) Drawing out the Beast - Press stage. All the others I thought were OK. Subject to the timing of damage resolutions. What I was trying to get across was 1 card of everything and no additional strikes and in the first round. I always make a pigs ear of wording these things. As the man said - "Doh!" Gangrels - great on being mean, crap at politics and details. DH

I.E. I INTENDED environmental damage to be allowed. I think environmental damage (via retainers, etc.) *does* occur during the Strike Resolution phase. But what LSJ was pointing out was that you said "damage any given vampire can inflict onto another" and environmental damage doesn't count in that? >2) Dragons Breath Rounds. I didn't know about that either. To be >honest, I didn't see any card text that said no retainers. Only usable before resolution of a gun's strike. Minion inflicts +2 aggravated damage each strike with that weapon for the remainder of combat. Burn the gun after strike resolution. This is an ammo card. No more than one ammo card can be used on a gun each combat. (Similar text for other ammo cards). *Minion* inflicts +2 aggravated damage each strike...(not *retainer* or *user* or *bearer* or whatever). Halcyan 2

Losing the Vial is the most efficient option then. DBR, once again, pseky card test. I've had too many good decks foiled by that. And I think I checked with Dave ahead of time about all of it, but I'm willing to lose the WC & DotB damage. This would leave the full combo at 62 -1 (Vial of Garou Blood) - 2 (DBR) - 1 WC - 1 DotB = 58. Xian
