WARNING!!! DO NOT TRADE WITH DANIEL B. HOFFMAN!!! (E-mail address daniel.b....@nd.edu) I have been waiting close to 2 months for his end of the trade to come through. The few responses that I do get to my e-mail's are merely empty promises that the cards will be delivered, that a replacement set has been mailed out, etc. I would like to stress that in all this time, I have not yet gotten my cards. So, if you value your cards, please do not trade with this individual. If you have traded with this individual in the past, please e-mail me with the results of your trade. Thanks! -Joe

I DID mail replacements and you SHOULD have gotten them. Everyone else has gotten their cards. Its just YOU having a problem. I'd accuse you of getting the cards and then trying to scam me into giving you more!

When a Malkavian performs an action with the Madness Network in another Meth's turn, can the acting minion and other friendly minions play reaction cards (since it is not my turn)? For example, if my Malk calls a vote to burn the Elysium (thereby /not/ having to play an action card to call a vote), can the Malk play /both/ a Bewitching Oration /and/ a Dread Gaze to gain 8 votes? Can other friendly vampires play Dread Gaze /and/ Surprise Influence to gain 4 or 6 votes each? -- "Live Life with Heart." Alan Kwan kw...@cs.cornell.edu

Peace Alan, Looking at it officially, the acting minion can definitely play BO and can probably play DG, though I'll have to recheck "reaction." You can neither play DG nor SI as it is your turn and you can only play reaction cards when it is not your turn. Nil carborundum illigitimi, James R. However, by the official ruling, you can't call most votes (no action cards). You COULD vote to torch the Elysium. By either of the fixes proposed in LSJ's house rules, you CAN call any vote, but you CAN'T Gaze or Influence (no reactions). Curt Adams (curt...@aol.com)

You COULD vote to torch the Elysium. Well, as much as I wouldn't care if the above was true (and go on playing the game the logical way), you really can't use Dread Gaze nor Surprise Influence (even in the official view) because: 1. You have to be untapped to play those cards, and the Malk is tapped before the vote can even start. 2. The rules state that (in addition to only being played when not your turn) reaction cards can only be played in response to another *player's* minion's actions - so you couldn't play Dread Gaze with any of your other Minions either.
