There has been a previous thread on this, but I'm afraid I didn't really understand the discussion. Blooding by the Code Master Salubri antitribu Master. Put this card on a Salubri antitribu you control. This Salubri antitribu gains one level of Valeren and gets +1 strength. Capacity increases by 1: the Salubri antitribu is one generation older. A vampire can have only one Blooding by the Code. Mata's special says: Independent. Red List: Mata Hari has 2 votes (titled). You and she may play cards that require a sect and/or clan as if she were of that required sect and/or clan --- At the moment she plays this master, it sees her as a !sal, so she can meet the requirements, gains +1 strength, 1 capacity, and 1 level of val. I assume all these things instantly vanish after playing, since after playing she is no longer (effectively) !sal?

[ quoted text not captured ] Note that it's actually a case of "never gains" rather than "gains then instantly loses". All of the perks of Blooding by the Code come from the card in play. The only effect of playing the card is to put the card in play. So you may put it on her as if she were a !Sal, but that's it. The card in play never gives her anything, not even for an instant, since she isn't a !Sal.
