Hmm, there seems to be a lack of discussion with the rule monger gone. :-( Algustas -- Good, bad, I'm the guy with the mouse...

I would assume that since superior Song in the Dark is not based on hand damage that it is therefore not considered a hand strike under the hand strikes only restriction enforced by an immortal grapple. I am however slightly confused by the hand damage rules interpretation and thought I would ask do be sure: Is superior Song in the Dark considered hand damage? ~Biomechanoid

>Hmm, there seems to be a lack of discussion with the rule monger gone. :-( >Algustas Yes, People seem to have noted that LSJ is gone and have been holding up on their questions until he returns. Shame that. Throwing something out into the void. Would people who play JOL let me know if I can publish a compilation of decks from completed games. (Only after the game is completed and I have a mail from the owner stating that I can use the deck will I publish the information [actually George won't give me the information unless I have confirmation from the deck creator that I can have it]) Stu

Messir Johnson reported to the Newsgroup that he would not be back until June 9th. I believe... -- Respectfully, Demos Ventrue Elder

Hi Demos, > Messir Johnson reported to the Newsgroup that he would not be back until > June 9th. I believe... Actually, I believe he said he would be back on June 2nd, but I am not certain. I suppose we could search Deja News for it if we get really bored... [ quoted text not captured ]

>woopsie, >Hey we can't all be perfect... >Respectfully, >Demos >Ventrue Elder No but we certainly could expect more from an Elder of the Clan Ventrue. And here I was thinking that the Ventrue weren't all that bad with their overwhelming powerhunger and all that. I Sincerely hope that we of the Noble Clan Tremere should never fall so low as to be so blatently erronious in such a public forum as this. ;-) It's been a long time since we quarrelled in the Jyhad Demos. Too Long. Be well. Stu Atlanta Chantry Elder, Clan Tremere

Stu, I assure you that we will have the opportunity on the JOL if Messir George allows me to play again. I miss the Games we used to play... [ quoted text not captured ]

In some article Biomech8 wrote >Is superior Song in the Dark considered hand damage? I sincerely doubt it. Song in the Dark was originally included (in Vampire: The Masquerade, at least) in Clanbook: Nosferatu. Basically, Song in the Dark calls all the nasty creatures that have been growing and mutating in the Sewers, being fed Nosferatu Blood (think huge sewer alligators with Nosferatu vitae pumping through their veins, giving them some pretty distorted features). These huge creatures then attack your opponent, basically tearing them to shreds. If you've seen the film, it's like that thing in The Relic. From what I gather from most cards, they only have their desired effects at higher levels (Mask of a Thousand Faces, Cloak the Gathering, Body of Sun, Lightning Reflexes, Distraction, Fire in the Blood, etc.) Basically, then, Song in the Dark is NOT hand damage. You'd be foolish to think it was. It's like asking in Carrion Crows is Hand damage when used at close range. You're basically summoning creatures to help you. You're not striking with your own hands. That's one of the beauties of Animalism. -- Justin Grace (Note Spam-proof Email address) *---------------------------------------------------------* | "Slowly, gently, night unfurls its splendour... | | Grasp it, sense it - tremulous and tender... | | Turn your face away from the garish light of day... | | Turn your thoughts away from cold, unfeeling light..." | *---------------------------------------------------------*

> In some article Biomech8 wrote > >Is superior Song in the Dark considered hand damage? (Sorry I missed the original posting) Neither the superior nor the inferior version of Song in the Dark is considered a hand strike, so the damage is not considered hand damage. They are not hand strikes because they are not based on the striking minion's hand damage. [ quoted text not captured ]
