Back in 1996 on the qst "Can master card: disciplines be played on uncontrolled vampires?" posed by Salem Christ you answered : "No. No cards (or other effects) can target uncontrolled vampires unless explicit card text overrides that." I just want to make sure that this still holds because in the WW section "rullings" there is not such a mention. Thank you in advance... PS 1: i used the google search to find the past post...

The current rulesbook states: "Disciplines: A Discipline card is played on a controlled vampire (even one controlled by another Methuselah) to give him a new Discipline (at the basic level) or to enhance a Discipline he already has (increasing the level of a Discipline from basic to superior). The vampire also gains an additional blood capacity (the "+1" in the red circle in the bottom right corner of the card indicates this) along with the Discipline granted, but he does not automatically gain an extra blood to fill the new capacity" [1.6.2.3] -- James Coupe PGP Key: 0x5D623D5D EBD690ECD7A1F If I had a dick, I'd go get laid. And there's the general targetting rule, 1.6.1.5, that says targets of cards/effects must be controlled unless explicit card text says otherwise. -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc.
