No. GR cannot use a weapon that his employer is using, and his employer
used the weapon for the maneuver (committing his use of it for his strike).

Correct. But that's because the DBR doesn't do anything (!) except burn the
weapon. (I just noticed this myself when you asked the question.)
Card text (VtES) on DBR:
Minion inflicts +2 aggravated damage ...
Since the GR is not a minion, he doesn't get any bonus for DBR.

Correct. The damage from the GR is "environmental".
