So, Minion A gets no > strike. Can the GR on Minion A make use of the Zip Gun? No. GR cannot use a weapon that his employer is using, and his employer used the weapon for the maneuver (committing his use of it for his strike). > Other GR questions? But that's because the DBR doesn't do anything (!) except burn the weapon. (I just noticed this myself when you asked the question.) Card text (VtES) on DBR: Minion inflicts +2 aggravated damage ... Since the GR is not a minion, he doesn't get any bonus for DBR. > Even though the GR is using a weapon the damage is considered > "retainer damage" and cannot be prevented with Skin of Steel, correct? Correct. The damage from the GR is "environmental". -- L. Scott Johnson (vte...@regency.wizards.com) Official VtES Net.Rep for Wizards of the Coast. (*) - Subject to review by Rules Team

(i know this makes no sense, but it seems to be what one might be able to wrangle out of card text..) eg: vampire strikes: hand. ghoul retainer uses a saturday night special and plays DB rounds on it during (strike/damage?) resolution. so the vamp uses hands for 1 normal and 2 aggravated, the ghoul retainer shoots for 1, and the sat night special is burned. boy i hope this is wrong...... salem....

It's restricted to "play when damage from a gun is being resolved. This minion..." So is only played when a minion uses a gun. But, as with the melee weapon template, the effect is still over-stated. A minion with a Bastard Sword does not get +1 hand damage on any old strike - only on strikes with the Bastard Sword. Similarly, a minion using DBR doesn't get +2 aggravated damage on any old strike, only on strikes with the gun loaded with DBR. -- L. But, as the +2 agg damage each strike only applies to "this minion", it will not benefit the employer of the retainer. (There is no "this minion" for the damage from the GR). -- L. By the defintion of an 'ammo card', would go this ruling, the bonus may only be applied to a gun. Alan (aj)
