I need to know if a vampire automatically switches to normal hand
damage
once the weapon it is equipped with is used up (ie a sawed-off
shotgun). In other
words if I maneuver with my weapon that allows me to inflict 3 damage
once during
combat and I play a card that gives me 2 addition strikes, do I inflict
5 damage
to the other vampire or 3 damage.
This has been the cause of some heated arguments so any clarifiction
would be really appreciated :)
Thanks, Erika

Assuming no other weapons, you just do 3, as the two additional strikes
are at long range and thus hand strikes will do no damage.

If you don't have any other strikes (strike cards or weapons), then
your strike(s) are hand strikes, yes.
Since the round is at long range, your two additional strikes would
have to be ranged strikes in order to be effective. The two hand
strikes at long range deal no damage.
