(LSJ) Talaq and Burst of Sunlight

Hi, What happends nowadays when Talaq plays Burst of Sunlight? I remember a time when he didn't take any damage from it. Then the ruling was that he plays it as a vampire and takes 1 agg, effectively burning him. Is this ruling still valid? Kind regards, pallando
