Hello, If I try to use an aggravated damage strike against a vampire with a Heart of Darkness card on him or her, can I play then a Roetschreck to send her to torpor? The *key* word in Rotschreck is "attempts to inflict aggrevated damage" <at close range>. Prevention/damage changing does not matter. The strike resolution phase and resulting damage dealing phase of the combat is not reached. The opposing acting vampire will enter torpor before strikes. (Except when playing a OOT malkavian rush deck, then the acting minion should be reacting/vampire in combat) Tim Eijpe

If the minion attempts to inflict agg damage on the vampire, even if range is long, Rotschreck can be played. If you attempt to use a non-range agg strike when the range is long, Rotschreck can't be played, sinc ethe non-ranged strike isn't "against" the opposing vampire - it's just against the air in front him. -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. I really was under the impression that it could only be used at close range. Sorry. Guess I'll need to stop talking out of my ass. This actually has cost me a game or two... Tim Eijpe
