1 - My tapped vam was ambushed by a brujah, my vamp has superior dominate, but I don't have any Wake neither forced awakening. May I play Obedience? 2 - My vamp with superior obfuscate is bleeding, an opposite vamp attempt to block, so I play faceless night and he must stay tapped, but he plays enchanced senses, so I play superior Elder Impersonations and her愀 block fails. The question is Superior Elder Impersonation cancels the effects of Superior Faceless Night played before? The opposite vamp is tapped or not? Itamar G. Jr.

The block attempt fails - at which point the vampire is tapped, by Faceless Night. Next clause of EI, the vampire is untapped. -- James Coupe PGP Key: 0x5D623D5D EBD690ECD7A1F She twirled a lock of hair around her forefinger and smiled B457CA213D7E6 faintly. The original poster stipulated that his vampire was tapped and had no way to untap or act as if untapped. Thus, he cannot play Obediance. Am I missing something? Sorry, brain fart. I saw Wake/Forced Awakening references and my brain kicked in and told me "He has played a Wake" even though I read he hadn't. My bad. [ quoted text not captured ]

No. The block attempt fails, but FN won't tap him until the block succeeds (not possible) or when his controller declares "I don't block" (which comes after the EI effect). And actually, EI should say "do not tap" the minion rather than "untap the minion." -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. And actually, EI should say "do not tap" the minion rather than "untap the minion." So is the guy tapped...or not? And what happens with you play faceless night, and the first guy fails, but then another different vampire tries to block and fails? Does anyone trying to block(that fails) get to be tapped? Aaron

That didn't help. I'll restate my confusion. If I bleed you, and you try to block. And I play faceless night at superior, followed by you playing sufficient intercept. Then I superior elder impersonation to cause you to be unable to block. Above you said "but FN won't tap him until the block succeeds (not possible) " which I can't figure out? How will Faceless night tap you until after a successful block?(wouldn't you tap anyway and be in combat?) Anyway, since it's not possible to block, and faceless night won't tap him till then, it obviously doesn't tap him.(because of that reason) Then comes the OR "or when his controller declares "I don't block"" Can you declare you don't block when you not eligible(because of elder impersonation) And after I elder impersonation you, are you tapped by faceless night?

As I said above: FN taps him when his controller says "I don't block" (or when some other minion's block succeeds). Which is after EI untaps him. [ quoted text not captured ]

That errata was issued already [RTR 08-JUL-96]. The text should've been updated in the FN printing, but it was not, due to my oversight.
