LSJ, When a minion strikes for, say -2 strength, does that minion's strike resolve for 0 damage or -2 damage? (*And yes, I have something brewing based on your answer*) -Mike Ooi

So if the striking minion were to try to actually inflict damage, it would have to generate an additional +3 (to resolve to 1 damage). This would fall in line with negative bleeds and bleed modifiers/Life Boon. Sorrow --- "Our generation has had no Great Depression, no Great War. Our war is a spiritual war. Mostly correct. It resolves for -2, resulting in 0 damage "successfully inflicted". So if you do just 0 (more than -2) damage - you still get only 0 damage "successfully inflicted" - not more than your opponent - no Disarm. -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. So, if a minion has -1 strength and a superior Skin of the Adder, does the damage resolve for -1 + 1, or does the damage resolve for 0 + 1, as the card provides an additional point of damage, not an increase in strength? Skin of the Adder :Play before range is determined. Prevent 1 damage each round. A vampire can play only one Skin of the Adder each combat. :As above, and this vampire's hand strikes inflict an additional point of damage for the remainder of combat -Mike

It provides an increase in the damage done by the hand strike ("inflict additional" as opposed to the "successfully inflicted" discussion above). [ quoted text not captured ]

So it is similar to the card "Increased Strength" which increases damage, not strength, even if the original damage is based on strength due to a Potence hand strike... Isn't that something? "Increased Strength" really doesn't. LSJ, please ban Increased Strength from VEKN sanctioned Tournaments. And Phobia. Thank You, Mike Ooi
