Advanced Marcus Vitel

So if you have the "old" Marcus, who is already Camarilla, but he equips with a Writ of Acceptance anyway, and then you merge him with Advanced Marcus (becoming Lasombra), can he remain Prince? How about if you merge him and *then* give him the Writ (before someone else took the title away)? Would he get his Princeship back?
