He is burned.
From the rulebook (emphasis mine):
[6.4.6] Damage Resolution
"Aggravated damage done to a wounded vampire can burn the vampire
outright. A wounded vampire is one that has taken damage that he
failed to heal or one that IS IN TORPOR or on his way to torpor.
For each point of aggravated damage that is successfully
inflicted on a wounded vampire, he must burn a blood to prevent
his destruction. IF HE DOESN'T HAVE ENOUGH BLOOD, HE IS BURNED."

If you are in torpor with zero blood, and you take a point of aggro
damage somehow, as noted, you burn, but really, how is this going to
happen?
If you are in torpor with zero blood, there are very few actions you
can take that you can play Daring the Dawn--you can be, uh, Rapidly
Healing yourself or, uh, Regenerating, and in either case, the 1 point
of aggrivated damage isn't going to burn you, as Daring the Dawn is
likely to make your action succeed (as that is what Daring the Dawn
does), and then the action resolves (you get ot of torpor or gain a
bunch of blood) and then you take a point of aggrivated damage and
suffer the effects (go back to torpor or burn a point of blood).
I'm sure there is some really obscure situation where a vampire in
torpor with zero blood takes an action, plays Daring the Dawn to not
get blocked, and yet still stays in torpor with zero blood, at which
point the aggro damage from the Daring the Dawn burns you. But I can't
think of what such a situation is.

If the vampire in torpor has Ex Nihilo, it gets easier: then he can foolishly
attempt Regeneration with Daring the Dawn. Action succeeds, he gains no blood,
and poof.
Or a ready minion takes an action to enter combat and uses Daring the Dawn (as
well as other action modifiers to expend his remaining blood, or perhaps the
action itself cost blood due to some Gehenna event or Changelin Ward or
whatever). So he's empty when he enters combat (thinking he'll steal a bunch of
blood or prevent and taste or whatever), but instead someone plays Legacy of
Power to send him to torpor. Then he'd be empty in torpor when DtD's damage cam
e calling.

Heh. Both reasonable (and fairly obscure) examples. So the lesson of
the day is:
"Don't use Daring the Dawn to make sure you don't get blocked while
Bum's Rushing someone..."

Or Daring the Dawn almost any action from within torpor, only to be

While certainly possible, if you are taking an action from torpor, and
Carlton Van Wyck can block you, why are you playing Daring the Dawn in
the first place?
There are ways to can go out of your way to burn yourself with Daring
the Dawn in torpor, but unless it is a fairly obscure situaiton, it is
unlikely to come up much.

Because he was tapped and you didn't count on him being On the Qui Vive.
