Can Watenda's ability be used in a combat he is not involved in? And if so, would he need to be untapped?

And No. (Besides, there's no one "opposing" Watenda if he isn't involved in the combat, right?) > if so, would he need to be untapped? Moot. -- L. There seems to be some local debate amongst some new players regarding the following. We are in the process of trying to find a copy of a "Jyhad Player's Guide", but we're not having much luck. Most cards are pretty clear about how to handle them, but some are not: With regards to Eagle's Sight, how does it work... 1) Superior obfuscate lets you ONLY attempt to block any action of any minion. 2) Superior obfuscate lets you attempt to block any action of any minion with +1 intercept (the "lesser" ability). 3) Superior obfuscate can EITHER attempt to block any action of any minion, OR you can use the lesser ability of +1 intercept (but not both). With regards to Nimble Feet... Superior Celerity (look out! I have a stalk of Celery!) lets you 1) get an additional strike. 2) get an additional strike, and have a press 3) get either an additional strike, OR get a press, but not both. We have a bunch of local folk who when we found out that we could buy Jyhad boxes for $10 a piece at our local gaming store, went out and bought 2-5 each. Jyhad (with no expansions) is having a bit of a local resurgence. Thanks for the assistance. da...@interpath.com

It's called "Darkness Unveiled" and while it may help you get a better grasp on the basics, some of it is misleading, outdated, or simply incorrect. > Most cards are pretty clear about how to handle them, but some are not: > > With regards to Eagle's Sight, how does it work... > > 1) Superior obfuscate lets you ONLY attempt to block any action of any > minion. > > 2) Superior obfuscate lets you attempt to block any action of any > minion with +1 intercept (the "lesser" ability). > > 3) Superior obfuscate can EITHER attempt to block any action of any > minion, OR you can use the lesser ability of +1 intercept (but not > both). Eagle's Sight requires auspex, not obfscate, but otherwise #3 is correct. VTES rulebook, section 3.1.1: "A vampire with a superior Discipline can use either the plain-type or boldfaced text on a minion card requiring that Discipline." > With regards to Nimble Feet... > > Superior Celerity (look out!
