Mistakes, of course. See the official card lists online. [ quoted text not captured ]

With blood-bonding, you feed them you blood like three times (explained the easy way) and this creates a lasting bond even after the blood leaves your system. Ghouling lets the ghoul consume some blood so that it has some vampiric blood inside of it that allows it to use some of the vampiric blood's powers. Vampires may have a lot of blood-bound "thralls" but less ghouls since ghouls are more of an investment. Thus ghouls are usually blood-bound but someone who is not blood-bound is not always a ghoul... Halcyan 2

Any mortal who consumes Vampiric vitae becomes a ghoul. They stop being a ghoul when the blood leaves their system. A blood-bonded mortal will stop being a ghoul when the blood leaves it's system, and will remain blood bonded for a year - a number of months equal to it's willpower. Mostly.

It's the first draught of vitae that makes them a ghoul and it's the third draught that makes one blood-bound to the vampire. I suppose not all retainers would need to be ghouls. Lestat's lawyer in Interview with a Vampire would be a good example of a non-ghouled retainer, though of course not in the WoD. Animals could be ghouls or simply influenced by the Animalism discipline and have no inherent or forced loyalty to the vampire. > Vampires may have a lot of blood-bound "thralls" but less ghouls since ghouls > are more of an investment. You'd only have to provide vitae every once in a while... maybe three months or so, to ensure a consistent blood bond. Pretty good investment really. For an interesting take on ghouls, read the story in the front of the old Liber Des Goules LARP supplement. It's rather funny. Cheers, WES
