Now with the gargolyes in (fly) the Tremere have "lots?" of news strategies , whichs it can give us too new decks based in the Pot/Fortitude/Auspex, etc... I like that all of u ( if u wanna) post here if u like the idea of found here a Tremere Chantry as discussion forum ( i it exist , plz say me ;-) ), - comment news decks. - Vissceratic will help us or only confuse us? - Is the deck Gargolyes/Tremere playabled in a Tournament? - what politics is the best vs the new Clans of Bl? -The old strategies are utils now? Well ,i left to u other questions and ideas. Most Regards: Ulugh Beg.

[ quoted text not captured ] Something not WHOLLY dissimilar to what you want is provided by Xian in his Tremere newsletters. And i'll pass your message on to John Keech who is shaping up to be our local Tremere-loving, erm, fellow. He is very upset by the way a lot of the British players diss, mock and scorn the Tremere, and he aims to Prove Us Wrong by Example. Me, i'm kinda with matthew green on this one, but perhaps a little less harsh .... and i DO play Tremere decks from time to time. Gonna play one tonight, as it happens, and i'll pass it on to Xian's NL with Ben Swainbanky type comments when i have done.

Well, I'm not sure if this is what you are looking for, but I write a (theoretically) monthly Tremere Clan Newsletter. After I have a chance to analyze some new stuff in Bloodlines, my next issue will be coming out. I believe there is also someone writing a Gargoyle Newsletter, but I can't remember for certain (and I just can't be bothered to Google it up). I think it's Norm, maybe? Shoot. (Okay, I *did* just check, and rock on, I was right.) Go Norm! I archive my newsletters at http://www.waste.org/~xian/geek/jyhad/news/ , and you can find lots of information at www.thelasombra.com. That being said, feel free to talk about any- (and every-) thing Tremere/Gargoyle that you like. If you want to post stuff on the newsgroup, go for it. If you want to send me something for inclusion in the newsletter, please do so. > Now with the gargolyes in (fly) the Tremere have "lots?" of news > strategies , whichs it can give us too new decks based in the > Pot/Fortitude/Auspex, etc... Well, I don't know about lots of new strategies, but there are new options within pre-existing archetypes. (I'd say that a new strategy is something like the Harbingers library destruction.) That being said, the Gargoyles can add some punch, as it were, to Tremere/!Tremere decks that use POT or FOR (though not so much to the Dawn Op/Weather Control deck) in combat, and Visciktera (or whatever) has some nifty effects for THA as well. If you're not using the Gargoyles as a solo clan, they definitely have a lot to offer the (!)Tremere. I think Clan Impersonation is going to be an interesting addition to any deck with a high number of Gargoyles. Sanguine Instruction is also a good all-around card, it's looking like. (Especially when combined with CI.) > I like that all of u ( if u wanna) post here if u like the idea of > found here a Tremere Chantry as discussion forum ( i it exist , plz > say me ;-) ), Well, like I said, check my website or The Lasombra's, let us know if that is or is not what you mean. > - comment news decks. > - Vissceratic will help us or only confuse us? Nah, it's not that confusing. Mmmm...Armor of Terra. > - Is the deck Gargolyes/Tremere playabled in a Tournament? Well, I obviously don't know about the Gargoyles yet, but the Tremere definitely are. I think that there have been 4 Tremere decks that have won tournaments since August or so? The Tremere *can* win, one just has to know what to do with them. (Repeat after me: the Tremere are not just Thaumaturgy combat machines.) Xian

[ quoted text not captured ] Dear Mr. Beg, I post the Official Gargoyles Newsletter, and I love your comments and I will attempt to answer most of them in this months newsletter. Although you will have to wait until later in this month to receive it, because I haven't even gotten a chance to play with them yet. I love your ideas and if you have any content you would like posted I would be happy to include it in my newsletter. Comments Welcome, Norman S. Brown, Jr. XZealot Archon of the Swamp

Visceratika seems quite impressive in my opinion, both in itself and as a supplement to the (!)Tremere. The abilities are really quite powerful in themselves (though I'll avoid posting specific text, as I traded nearly all of my vsk away for obe and dai), and the supplemental tha abilities are decent as well. For example, Collapse the Arches' "tha: Strike: 2R, with an optional press" is certainly usable on its own. As a random aside, Nose of the Hound is also looks very nice for the (!)Tremere. They seem to have done quite well with Bloodlines. > Nah, it's not that confusing. Mmmm...Armor of Terra. Hope you're enjoying it. <grin> BJ, The Young Turk of Madison

I think that you should have Collapse the Arches be card of the month. its common, costs no blood, and gives those tremere something to get presses with (and for our gargoyle friends, that may, or may not be included, is a nasty 4R damage!). Oh, and the vampire of the month, although not a Tremere, should be Fidius the Shrunken Beast. Great cheaper guy for your Tremere For/Tha decks. That is all. ~SV

Flight produces, from what I've seen so far, some manuver and press options as well as some good close range strikes, like one, which if landed prevents additionals. Visceratika provides some nice long range strikes as well as S:CE and other things.

Though, I should probaly wait and see what kinds of comments those are... With the Gargoyles, one of the first things I want to try is a bruise-bleed with weenie Dominate types like Mustapha and Jing Wei to do the bleeding, and who tap their big stone buddies to do the bruising when they get blocked. With those groovy Tha powers on the Visc cards it should be possible to build card-efficent 5 discipline (6 with flight?... hmmmm..) decks. But more experimentation will have to wait until I get more Bloodlines cards. In the meantime, I'm working on a !Tremere elders deck that includes Animalism. The name: Gore, Rat Tricks. -Ben Swainbank

I thought my trading seemed pretty appropriate down in Madison. Rehlow got the funky demon from me, you got random Daimanon stuff, and I think Cameron got stuff that he wanted from me too. Oh yeah, and Dave got that Draught of the Soul. Very fitting. > supplemental tha abilities are decent as well. For example, Collapse > the Arches' "tha: Strike: 2R, with an optional press" is certainly > usable on its own. Except for that whole part about blocking a (D) action, and only being usable at long range. Yes, it's good, but a little limited. Though this and Nose of the Hound and some of the other stuff I've seen makes me want to start playing intercept-y Tremere again. > As a random aside, Nose of the Hound is also looks very nice for the > (!)Tremere. They seem to have done quite well with Bloodlines. Yes. So very very good. Auspex stealth rush. With a maneuver or a press. Sweet. [Armor of Terra] > Hope you're enjoying it. <grin> Oh, definitely. Well, I need more than one, but I think I'm going to go with the opposite tactic I had at the pre-release, and shoot for DOM/FOR/THA/VIS, with some clantoys thrown in. (Soul of the Earth?) I still need Stone Dog and Rock Cat, though. Wait, maybe I have Stone Dog. Can't remember. They just sound cool. So far, most of the Gargoyles seem to be geared towards FOR/pot rather than POT/for. Which is fine. Oh, and I need that +2 intercept thinger. Man, that sounds cool...Defender of the Haven, that's it. So yeah, any of you Madison types want to trade, let me know. xian(at)waste.org. Always willing to work deals. Need to actually get my Bloodlines in, but hopefully they'll be arriving soon. Looking forward to playing again... Xian
