Off the WW site; "Crypts must be built using only vampires from a single group or using only vampires from two consecutive groups." So suddenly Arika can be in any ventrue deck, but Democritus can't. Weird. I understand the reasoning, but not sure if I like the implementation. T

All those Princes will still be mixable with the new vampires. The Eurojah stand a good chance at getting better. David Cherryholmes Duke Radiology P.E.T. Arika is Inner Circle, Democritus is Justicar and Justicars change with time, that is all the explanation I need (yes, I love the fact that the card game can follow the WoD thread). > You know, that's a good point. Ds also contained lots of shitty vampires, but it's fortunate that the interesting ones still can be played. I think the purposes of this new rule are the followings : - follow the background evolution in the RPG / novels and not have two different Justicars of each clan combinable ; I like that. - not offer too many possibilities for Camarilla compared to the others ; that is GOOD !!! I was very afraid, looking at all the good Camarilla cards, and thinking : "My, they already kick the Sabbat's ass - not to mention independants -, if they boost them more we'll never play anything but Cam !!". Obviously, WW realised that and remedied it, and that is a very good thing as far as I'm concerned. - Not offer the possibility for redundance (vampires with identical or very near caracs or possibilities, but different names, for whatever reason, like Christofero Giovanni and his recent counterpart for example). So, what I'm saying is : I actually APPROVE this 1/2/3 rule, as long as we can still mix Cam with S and SW+. Only thing I don't approve is having to mix cards with totally different looks, but that's another problem... Yours from the darkest places, Orpheus

How about all the European Princes and Primogen. Those aren't going to change either? T

Vampires with no group number have there group number determined by the existence (or lack thereof) of a set symbol. A vampire with no group number and no set symbol is group 1. A vampire with no group number but with a set symbol is group 2. -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. That should be added into an FAQ someplace if it isn't clear in the upcoming CE rulebook. Good question Aaron :-) >LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. In the RPG, the Inner Circle representative of a clan is habitually the oldest member of a clan. Thus, without exceptional circumstances (vampire death, ostracism, going renegade, a "new" vampire being found in torpor or something), changing the membership of the Inner Circle can be very difficult indeed. This can prove very difficult for a clan, as the temporary prestige and political ability of the individual vampire can lumber them with a crappy Justicar. Also, in the card game, the Inner Circle title (like the Primogen title) does not contest. A deck that wanted to use Arika and Leandro, and clan impersonate Arika to Malkavian in order to use Madness Network, would not contest the Inner Circle title. This would be easy to fix, but probably unnecessary. -- James Coupe PGP 0x5D623D5D I am woman. Here, me raw. EBD690ECD7A1FB457CA2 13D7E668C3695D623D5D

Good question Aaron :-) I thought I remembered it being specified in the description of the group rule on the WW site? "vampires with no expansion symbol in the upper right corner of the card" covering Dan and Mariana. Josh too many marianas
