Got a question here. While building a new deck I reread some old favourites and suddenly noticed that the restriction on 1 Weather Control per combat applies to Vampires. Does an ally that can play thaumaturgy cards 'as a vampire' have the restriction of 1 per combat as well? I checked Google and the FAQ but couldn't find anything definite, but it might have slipped through of course - Google is sensitive to using the right keywords. Relevant card text: Weather Control [Jyhad:U, VTES:U, CE:U] Cardtype: Combat Discipline: Thaumaturgy Only usable before range is determined on the first round. [tha] Both combatants and each of their retainers take 1 damage before range is determined each round. This damage cannot be prevented. A vampire can play only 1 Weather Control each combat. [THA] As above, but the amount of damage inflicted increases by 1 each <additional> round. Regards, Patrick van der Reest PS. If an ally can use multiple WCs, has anyone managed to do anything useful with it yet?

When an ally plays a card that requires a discipline, they are considered a vampire for all aspects of playing that card (and also resolution of that card, in the case of strikes). (Note that if the card is put into play, the ally does not count as a vampire when attempting to use that card later however). Thus when a Rafastio Ghoul plays a Weather Control, she is treated as a vampire for playing that card (including the restriction). And if she tries to play another, the card text of the first one (as well as the second one) would prevent her from playing another one. >PS. Moot. *If* an ally were able to use multiple Weather Controls, you could use a Rafastio Ghoul, play 12 Weather Controls, and torporize Arika (just like how Roreca could in the good old days...). Yeah, but those decks, although able to kill any single minion, did run out of cards awfully fast, and I don't seee a change in that. Luckily, the point is, indeed, moot. Thanks for the reply!
