Minor modification in order?

All the talk about allies, torpor and Burst of Sunlight got me thinking, hey, Slave Gargoyle doesn't go to torpor from agg damage! So, why not add the trait "vampire" to it? It would still be an ally, recruited normally. It would still be burned by Kindred Segregation, it would still have 0 bleed and all that; it's just that it would be treated as a vampire, too...you could give it a skill card if you wanted. It could go to/from torpor as usual. I mean, it can "hunt" anyway... Could it happen? Would anyone be opposed? Just musing, --Brian

It's been a few days since I wrote the above...0 replies. >sigh< I'll try to show you how it's applicable. Assume Premise 1: 1. The Rules Team decides to add to Gargoyle Slave the trait "Vampire". Therefore, 2. A minion can be both "ally" and "vampire". Therefore, 3. When a Rafastio Ghoul uses a Burst of Sunlight, it takes 1 aggravated damage (which is done to all vampires in combat). and 4. When a Rafastio Ghoul takes 1 aggravated damage, it is treated the same as regular damage (at least it is on Page 23 of the Jyhad rulebook). ________________ This is all to say that, if a minion can be both Ally and Vampire, which isn't too farfetched, then an ally who can play Burst of Sunlight "as a vampire" would burn 1 life to heal the 1 aggravated damage dealt to it. Still apalling that sunlight hurts it at all, but hey, it would be SOMETHING. I figure LSJ and the Rules Team will come up with something we can all live with on this one, better than this suggestion...still, I'm curious as to whether Gargoyle Slave could have added, or a future ally will come printed with, the Vampire trait. Is it possible, LSJ? Is it against the rules to be both? --Brian

If the ally doesn't go to torpor from agg, does the vampire burn when empty? (That is, if the ally burns when empty, the vampire should go to torpor from the agg). A minion cannot be vampire and ally. Cannot be Sabbat and Camarilla. Cannot be Brujah and Gangrel. Cannot be 8 capacity and 6 capacity.
